The Chief Guest on the rst day of inaugural session was Dr Gurmeet S. Dhaliwal, Chairman, Baba Farid Group of Institutions. His session started with interaction with students pitching oneself on why they want to be an entrepreneur. Then he shared his own journey of life from farmer's son till the Chairman of multi-college campus which is covered in 60 acres of land having the strength of 1000 employees under him. He said with the vision, determination and positive attitude anybody could become successful. An entrepreneur should know the art of overcoming the challenges faced on his journey to achieve his goal. Entrepreneurial spirit is more about the power of resilience and not just your appetite for taking risks. Dr Dhaliwal further said success never teaches but failure always do, so do not be scared of failure. He then shared the SSS rule of Self Analysis, Self Improvement and Self Driven. He said anyone can steal your idea but not your Skill, Talent and Knowledge. So do not stand in Queue but make your own line.

Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal is the founder and Chairman of Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI), premier educational institution of India, situated in Bathinda Punjab. As a rst generation entrepreneur, he possesses rich & diverse exposure of introducing innovative techniques and unique initiatives to promote the education sector and making it relevant to the outcomes of the industry. Mr. Dhaliwal started his journey in the eld of education in 1993 from elementary school to a multi college educational institution which nurtures more than 10,000 students. Mr P.K. Bhandari is a successful entrepreneur of Malwa region. He shared his journey and struggles to motivate students to become an entrepreneur. Motivating students Mr. Bhandari in his lecture described that formal education only provide us living but self education make our fortune. He told the value of bouncing back in life. He suggested developing the habit to maintaining diary in which focus should be to create an idea and working towards it. One should practice achieving short term goals to achieve the nal goal in life. Further Mr Bhandari sharing his experience said Entrepreneurship has very little to do with money. It is instead an attitude and a way of thinking. It goes beyond simply starting a company. In other words not all people who start their own organizations can necessarily be categorized as entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs challenge assumptions, recognize opportunities in periods of change, reveal patterns where others see chaos and mobilize limited resource to achieve the objective.

Bhandari Engineering Company Private Limited, Bathinda has been formed to takeover the unit of M/s Bhandari Engg. & Electric Co. Bathinda which had been engaged in the marketing Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic equipment's & components, DG Sets, Panels & Agriculture equipments etc. Now in his leadership Company is not only providing wide range of products also installing, testing & commissioning including civil engineering work on turnkey basis. Mr Sandeep Sharma shared his experience how after having job and handsome salary he convinced his parents and friends to start his new venture. He said the big challenge to be an entrepreneur is Self Motivation. If one is self motivated and ensure 100% efforts only then he could be a successful entrepreneur no matter what challenges may come its way. He said Business is only your idea; your capability; your talent and how you can do it. He further said sometimes one may have capability but may not have the capacity to do the business at that time you have to develop resources and options. Then with full efforts and calculated risk you could overcome all the hurdles. Every company must have strong and clear vision with which he could encourage his team to work towards the same goal and also make customers a part of its venture. Mr Sharma also discussed the future of Food Processing in India. The session of Mr Sharma was very much interactive there were many questions that were put in by the students.

Mr Sandeep Sharma, he is rst generation entrepreneur. Mr Sandeep Sharma completed his B.Tech in Food Science and Technology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in the year 2004. Then he did his apprenticeship from the Nestle. After completing apprenticeship Mr Sharma joined Cargill Company where he worked for 1 and half years. Then he joined Cremica, where he worked for 4 years, after that he joined PAN Foods for 4 years. Now he is a successful entrepreneur and Managing Director of his own venture in the name of PERANNAL FOODS.

Industrial Visits (10th June, 2017)On the one side the students of Baba Farid Group of Institutions are not only doing good in academics which helps them in getting jobs in Government and Private sectors and at the same time Industry Interactive Entrepreneurship Cell (IICE) cell of Baba Farid Group of Institutions is continuously working hard to provide opportunities to interested students for self employment and new business. The cell trains the youngsters to start new business as well as provides training regarding how to tackle the difculties during the administration of business. In addition, the heads and speakers of different reputed companies are also invited to conduct seminars in the institution. In these seminars speakers share the origin history of their progress from start to present and give answers the questions asked by the students. In continuation to these efforts students were taken to high-tech industries of Bathinda District. About one dozen of students who are registered with the Entrepreneurship Cell (IIEC) participated in this tour. During the tour students were taken to ve renowned factories of Bathinda. The rst factory was of P.P Industries that supply electricity transformers to Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Students were introduced to the manufacturing process of electricity transformers. The second factory was of Bathinda Ceramics (P) limited that manufactures electricity Insulators that are used with transformers. The insulators that are manufactures in this factory are used in India as well as in different foreign countries. The students surveyed this factory. In the third factory Polypipes India (P) Ltd. students got information about manufacturing of the PVC pipes and the material used in these factories. Then students visited Liberty Chemical Industry where they got information about the manufacturing of soap.. At last they reached at Koswa Industries where different things of iron are made after melting it. There they saw the different manufacturing of different iron things of their daily use.During the visit students got the opportunity to interact with Mr Raman Watts, President, Bathinda Chamber of Commerce & Industries and Er. T.R. Singla, CEO, Polypipes India (P) Ltd. also threw light on his business history.

Dr Manish Bansal in his speech said that the students belonging to tier 3 cities like Bathinda are not far away in generating employment, innovations and new ideas from their counterparts of tier 1&2 cities. During the workshop he demonstrated the various aspects needed to build a better B-Plan. He emphasised to develop the B-Plan based on 5 M's model i.e Market; Money; Men; Machinery; and Material. He also explained how an entrepreneur must give equal importance to all these 5M's for a better B-Plan. He also guided the students that an entrepreneur's venture will rise to the new heights, only if it is rooted with a unique and good idea. He motivated the young scholars that every opportunity is around us, it is up to us how we analyse it and use to to generate ideas.

Dr. Manish Bansal, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Management cum Dean at Malout Institute of Management & Information Technology (MIMIT), Malout, Punjab, INDIA. He holds Ph.D from Punjabi University along with MBA Marketing from Shivaji University. He has a rich 23 years experience of Industry, Academics, Research and Administration. He has served as Director, Baba Farid College of Management & Technology for about four years as an established administrator. He has published in various national and international journals in the areas of Marketing, Retail, Hospital management and Entrepreneurship. He has authored thirteen books and edited seven conference proceedings besides being on advisory panel of various institutes and research journals. He has taught MBA classes in Marketing, Retailing and Advertising. He has supervised three candidates for Ph.D.

Er Vikas Mittal, AGM NABARD is graduate from Thapar University in Civil Engineering. He has a vast experience of 25 years in the NABARD. In NABARD he had worked as Assistant Manager at Bombay and Guwahati, as a Manager NABARD in Chandigarh and now he is working as AGM, NABARD in Bathinda. In addition to it Mr Mittal is also the active member of different Government agencies such as Ground Water Estimate Committee of Punjab & Chandigarh, advisory committee of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bathinda, Pharma Training Centre Mehraj, Bathindaetc

Er Vikas Mi alAGM, NABARD

Inaugural day of the session was chaired by Mr Vikas Mittal, AGM, NABARD. He shared different schemes run by NABARD which support and give subsidies to budding entrepreneurs. He enlightened the students about various projects, schemes and subsidies going on to develop the ecosystem of entrepreneurship in the country .Mr Mittal quoted that self-faith and self-convincing is the main attribute required to be a successful entrepreneur. He stressed that ideas emanates from the solution to the problem. He also discussed about the major problems prevailing in the rural areas. He also welcomed suggestions and isolution/ideas from the audience regarding prevailing problems like Water Conservation in Villages as well as cities; Wheat Preservation; Education of the farmers; Bio-Fertilizers; Diary Related Problems; Modied & Controlled Cold Storage and Soil-less Framing.

Mr R.D SinglaLead Bank

On the Second day of the Entrepreneurship Week Mr R.D Singla, representative from LEAD Bank was the resource person. He discussed about the various activities run by the LEAD Bank at district level. In his lecture he told the students about documents and all other ancillaries required for Bank Financing. He also shared the different subsidy schemes of the Banks for the Entrepreneurs. Starting from the history of Banks and their objectives, he told the nuances about the Pardhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Stand-up India and subsidies available under Prime Minister Employment Generation Program.

Mr Amit Bansal is a Chartered Accountant. He has also worked with Macquarie- Global Finance Services for one and half years; KPMG (Statutory audit) for 2 years and M/s S.S.Kothari Mehta & Co. (Chartered Accountants), New Delhi for a year. Presently he is working with Baba Farid Group of Institutions as senior manager accounts where he is Overall in-charge of the nancial operations, control and supervisory head. Mr Bansal has in depth knowledge of Export and import benets, forex and their related transactions. He have successfully and independently led several assignments. Mr Bansal also Handles GST assignments of various type of organizations such as Companies, Societies, Partnership rms and proprietorship rms including some government organizations. He had also delivered many lectures in different seminars on GST, Taxation and Entrepreneurship.

Mr Amit Bansal, Chartered Accountant was the resource Person for the third day . He motivated the students and told that failure is part of entrepreneurship. Good entrepreneur must have the appetite to take risk. He further said that today the companies readily hire a person who had failed in his start-up as he knows all the nitigrities required to run a successful venture. He discussed about the meaning of Entity and its role. He told about the structure, Benets, role and functions of the three Entities: Private Limited Company; a Registered Partnership Firm; a Limited Liability Partnership. Mr Bansal described the students about the agship program run by Government of India that is Startup India and told different tax-exemptions given to the entities covered under Startup India. He also told about the role of Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists to run the Startup. At last he shared his views about the advantages and disadvantages of Goods & Services Tax (GST).

Mr Amit Mishra have worked in the internet industry for close to 11 years with a total experience of 13 years. He is also a TEDx Speaker and has been strategically involved with some of the renowned Startup reality TV shows in India. Mr Mishra also closely work with relevant government and private agencies working in the space of entrepreneurship in India. The last 3 years he had spent travelling across India and identifying different ecosystem players across geographies. He had also setup 2 different organisations with help of local entrepreneurs in Ranchi, Jharkhand and Ludhiana. Mr Mishra was also the Country Head of F6S, which is the largest start-up discovery platform worked with most of the accelerators/VCs in the country. He had also spent 6 years with InfoEdge India Ltd.(parent company to Naukri, 99acres,Shiksha etc). He also run global start-up education programs for budding entrepreneurs in Delhi-NCR.

Mr Amit Mishra, ID8 VC was the expert on the 4th day of the Entrepreneurship Week. He said that in this era of knowledge, there are multiple solutions for every problem which can be solved through innovation and technology. He said many reports have been published which tells that, today, students of tier 3 cities are generating employment through Government of India's Start-up program. Mr Mishra giving examples of different Startups said some of the remarkable work is going on in India by the young college students. Motivating the students to do start-ups at college he said college campuses should offer some unique advantages for launching a new venture as students have a network of resources at the ready that are students itself, Professors for validation and alumni as an mentors.

On the last day of the event there was Pitchup-session where 5 Business Plans were presented by the BFGI students. The mentor in this session was Mr Amit Mishra. In this session he also gave the tips to how to pitch the business plan and also How to start small scale enterprise. He also told what the investors require in the Business Plan and how to build a pitch for startup that sells idea.

Mr Amit Mishra took a workshop and the interactive session with faculty where he told that there are numbers of awareness programme for students and Faculty in entrepreneurship. He further said teachers play a vital role in motivating students to take up entrepreneurship as a career option. Hence it is important that teachers should be sensitized on need for being an entrepreneurial teacher. He said faculty to organize small events in the classes to create an awareness of the need and importance of entrepreneurship development. Mr Mishra emphasised to improve knowledge and develop skill in diverse training methods in imparting training to students and entrepreneurs. During workshop Mr Mishra also gave the assignment to all the faculty and told to present their ideas in front of all
