NDT: NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING:

Radiographic Inspection digital (Conventional CR & DR):

Industrial radiography is a method of non-destructive testing

where many types of manufactured components can be

examined to verify the internal structure and integrity of the

specimen. Industrial Radiography can be performed utilizing

either X-rays or gamma rays

Ultrasonic Inspection:

Ultrasonic testing, also known as ultrasonic NDT or simply UT, is

a method of characterizing the thickness or internal structure of

a weld and/or test piece through the use of high frequency

sound waves.

Magnetic Particle Inspection:

Magnetic particle Inspection (MPI) is a non-destructive testing

(NDT) process for detecting surface and slightly subsurface

discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel,

cobalt, and some of their alloys. The process puts a magnetic

field into the part to detect the flaw with black magnetic ink.

Dye Penetrant Inspection:

Dye penetrant inspection (DPI), also called liquid penetrant

inspection (LPI) or penetrant testing (PT), is a widely applied and

low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking

defects in all porous and non-porous materials (metals, plastics,

or ceramics).

Wall Thickness Inspection:

Ultrasonic thickness is a method of performing non-destructive

measurement (gauging) of the local thickness of a solid element

(typically made of metal, if using ultrasound testing for industrial

purposes) basing on the time taken by the ultrasound wave to

return to the surface. This type of measurement is typically

performed with an ultrasonic thickness gauge.

Ultrasonic waves have been observed to travel through metals at a

constant speed characteristic to a given alloy with minor variations

due to other factors like temperature.

Thus, given this information, called celerity, one can calculate the

length of the path traversed by the wave.
