State of Iowa Requirement

An electrical disconnect is required by the State of Iowa for all inflatables. This homemade panel is inexpensive to make, has an easy to carry handle and keeps the breaker out of the water.

Big Ten Rentals

Safety

It’s easy to trip when exiting an inflatable. 3x3 or 4x4 foam mats help minimize injuries at the entrances and slide exits. Available online. Google “MMA foam mats.” We prefer the 1” thick style.

Big Ten Rentals

Safety

Send safety signage with the operator for larger events.

The contract will automatically add both Stakes and Sandbags. Delete one or the other from final contract. If it is installed on cement or if there is not adequate time for a One-call, then keep the sandbags and delete the stakes. Stakes are preferred when possible.

Bounce – Princess Palace Capacity 6 X

OK

!

Minimize loading errors by specifying stakes or sandbags at the time of booking. This statement pops-up when booking small inflatables for customer pick up.

Pop-up Notification – Stakes or Sandbags

Big Ten Rentals

Pop-up Notification – Power

How far away is power from inflatable? Do not exceed 50-100’ or the voltage drop will be too much and it will not inflate properly. Generators are available for rent. We will need a plug in for EACH fan, and they must be on SEPARATE CIRCUITS. Tell the customer now.

Fan, 1.5hp Huffer / Similar Hi Velocity X

OK

!

A warning note pops-up at time of rental. Calculate power requirements in advance. Customers often underestimate how much power a 1hp fan will draw. Undersized cords are a hazard and can cause the item to not inflate properly.

Even though you, the rental store, may send employees to install, attend and take down inflatables, there still is an opportunity to educate the customer on the equipment use and safety. If a rental store is not providing an attendant, make sure the attendant

on-site is aware of these potential risks prior to supervising the inflatable.
