1. About Us

Runrite Electronics cc is a family owned manufacturer, distributor and calibration laboratory specializing in measurement instruments for the occupational health and hygiene market. Established in 1996 as a repair centre, the business focus has shifted over the years to become a specialized instrumentation company. Our head office is located on the South African east coast in Durban for service to our customers across the African continent. In 2013 Runrite acquired the long established Zenith Instruments manufacturing firm, responsible for the manufacture and wholesale distribution of controllers. Since 1984 Zenith Instruments has led the industry with a strong brand and quality products. The merger will see more innovate designs being developed for the African market. Our diverse product range caters to niche markets in the occupational hygiene sector and the electronics trade. We offer quality measuring instruments for a range of applications; we also offer calibration services for all instruments supplied. We supply environmental cleaning solutions to the electronics trade. We manufacture and distribute anti-static bubble wrap bags suitable for the packing of sensitive electronic components.

From our 50,000 square foot facility in Ocala, FL we manufacture a large selection of air sampling filter products and sampling pumps. Beginning from the start with injection molding of the plastic parts to the final assembly and packaging, we do it all.

1.2 Runrite Electronics provides the following services:

Traceable calibration for Alcolizer Technology alcohol breath

testers as well as the Runrite Alcolight unit. Both dry-gas and wet

calibration methods are used in the process.

Traceable Works Calibration (Certificate of Conformances) for – ZENITH

Temperature controllers, Lux meters, sound level meters and WBGT heat

stress monitors.

Equipment is referenced against a SANAS calibrated device to ensure

that the device is operating within the required limits.

The Tempstress WBGT monitor receives a ZERO calibration certification.

SANAS calibrations can be facilitated on all equipment sold by Runrite

Electronics through our established network of preferred suppliers

within the industry.

Runrite Electronics will become accredited for WBGT SANAS calibration

by the end of 2014. Further disciplines will be added in time.

All repairs and maintenance of equipment is facilitated by Runrite

Electronics technicians. This includes all software/ firmware

upgrades, hardware adjustments, modifications and end-user

specific alterations.

1.3 Runrite Electronics provides training:

Runrite Electronics has developed a training program “Alcohol in

the Workplace”, based on the outcomes of the training and

practical work with Runrite’s breathalysers a competency

certificate is issued. This module is aimed at all levels of the

organization and is altered as required to meet the specifications

of the clients Alcohol Control Policy. Although the training

module is universally applicable to the use of alcohol and the

measurement using breath testing equipment, competency is only

signed off on equipment supplied by Runrite Electronics.

Competency is a requirement under general law in order to ensure

the correct administering of alcohol test for evidential purposes.

Basic training is provided on all instruments supplied – generally

training is included with the initial purchase.

HAV & WBV – 4-Channel Vibration Analysis HD2030 is a portable vibration analyzer performing spectral and statistical analysis on four channels simultaneously. HD2402 NON-COHERENT OPTICAL RADIATION MONITOR is a portable photo-radiometer data logger for the measurement of noncoherent optical radiation in accordance with European Directive 2006/25/ EC and the Legislative Decree No 81, April 9, 2008.
