Objectives of the publishing guidelines
• Same look and feel
• Easy access and informative
• Provide necessary and accurate information in one way

Publishing Process
• All product related information have a ”home storage” place in the structure
• The home storage = indicates the place in structure where the product
”belongs”
• Reference publishing is when you add a new publishing area to a
page/document
• The area editor is responsible for the home storage content
• Publishing / Editing
• Notifying about changes
• Structure maintenance
• The area editors are responsible for reference publishing
• If a page/document alreday got more than one publishing area (home +
reference publishing) the area responsible can update all
– Ask for approval (by the other editors) prior re-publishing.

Basic Information
To simplify the publishing process, two
information types have been defined:
1. Text documents
(Product Annoucements/Product
bulletins, Ordering information etc)
• Use Mitel standard templates
• Publish PDF files (and docx)
2. Marketing Collaterals
(Posters, Datasheets, Banners,
Brochures, Presentations etc)
• Published material needs to be
approved by DT (design team) and PM
(product marketing)
• Publish lowres and print files

Language Versions
1. Document language versions could
be published
• On the same page

as easier for CSUs to ”copy to”)

Use the table function to add an image next to the body text.

Add a document cover image
• Proposed image size 175x250 pixels
• The dimensions are adjustable in the insert / edit image window
• Add a shadow effect to the image to increase the margin to the text

How to create a document cover image

Creating a document cover image can be
done in many ways. This is an example on
how to create an image without any special
tools other than PowerPoint.
1. Take a print screen of the document in
the PDF reader or use the Snapshot
tool in the PDF reader, insert the
image into a presentation with the
paste function
2. Use the crop function to resize the
image
3. Add a shadow or a white border
(offset diagonal bottom right). Use the
right mouse button to save the image
4. Insert the image into InfoChannel by
using the upload function followed by
the Insert Image button on the top
panel.

2. Publishing: The product owner publishes the documents (home storage)
3. Notifications: The product owner notifies all the other product owners about the new documents (if
applicable, some documents are for ex. only related to a local product)
4. Reference publishing: The area admin/editor for e.g MX-ONE or MiVoice 5000 is responsible to
add the new page/structure to the MX-ONE / MiVoice 5000 chapter if applicable
