British Hand Made Crafts at Manchester Gift Show

We are excited to announce a major new area at Manchester Gift Show showcasing hand made British crafts including ceramics, glass,

painting and prints, soaps and cosmetics, jewellery, greetings cards and stationery and giftware.

Research has shown that over 70% of visitors attending were looking for unique brands that they would not find at the usual well

known gift shows which is why we have committed to develop this sector into a major attraction at the show.

To make it possible for individual artists to put their work in front of retail buyers from small independents to national store groups

we are offering an extremely reasonable cost of £125.00 sq.m so you can show from only £250.00.

The area will include an equipped demonstration forum for exhibitors to show buyers how their works are created, this is available to

everyone who would like to participate at no cost. No presentation skills are required as it is an informal area where you can simply

paint or craft with a few onlookers or present a structured workshop if you choose.

We also distribute your images and text to magazine editors to include in their features (subject to editor’s approval) so many

exhibitors will gain free national exposure which is worth many times the cost of the stand at the show, many have told us that they

have covered their costs of showing from pre-show orders before the show even opens! m

Hand Made British Crafts - Floor Plan

We have created an area at Manchester Gift Show devoted to fine hand

crafted products. At the heart of it is a studio where you are invited to

demonstrate how you create your artworks which will help retailers

appreciate the unique skill and creativity used to create your products.

The studio will have most basic facilities on hand for you to use and there

will be no extra charges for this opportunity to promote your brand. If you

prefer not to demonstrate you will still benefit from being in the area where

buyers will be enlightened and enthusiastic to buy hand crafted products.

Manchester Gift Show is not like other gift shows, firstly the cost is LOW at

only £125.00 per square metre and there is no minimum size of stand

(although we do suggest a minimum of 2m x 1m to make your display

attractive to buyers). You and buyers benefit from FREE parking directly at

the entrance, FREE wifi throughout the halls, Easy access to set up and break

down and we even supply free refreshments during set up!

Unlike many other shows we do not charge extra for corner or premium

locations, however they do sell quickly so please request your preferred site

as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Manchester Gift Show - The Venue

EventCity Manchester

EventCity is a new exhibition venue which opened in 2011, adjacent to The Trafford

Centre which is located directly at junctions 9 & 10 on the M60 just outside

Manchester. At 29,000 sq.m it is the UK’s second largest exhibition venue outside

London providing enormous potential for growth over the next couple of years.

Transport links by road, rail and air are outstanding as The Trafford Centre

comfortably attracts over 100,000 visitors on a daily basis. Free shuttle busses run

from Piccadilly and Victoria in Manchester city centre throughout the day so visitors

and exhibitors have the choice to either stay at the three budget hotels on site or stay

in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities to enjoy the legendary cafe, restaurant, bar and

club scene.

Manchester is easy to get to from anywhere in the UK with 10% of the UK population living within a

45 minute drive and 25% within an hour. London and Glasgow are just over 2 hours away by train so

the potential catchment for the show is outstanding.

The nightlife and culture are renowned offering visitors the chance to make an enjoyable break out

of their buying trip, something not offered by many other trade show destinations.

Manchester is also served by most budget airlines either at Manchester International Airport or

Liverpool John Lennon Airport, both have regular transport services to Manchester city centre. This

will also make the show attractive to visitors from Ireland, Europe and beyond.

Hotels

There are three Premier Inn hotels on site at EventCity, Trafford Centre South is located near the

Orient complex in the Trafford Centre with over 60 restaurants, bars and bistros, the other two are

on the perimeter of the site, all are very close to the show.

There are also many hotels at Salford Quays which is about five minute drive from EventCity where

you can enjoy two theatres, a designer outlet village, lots of restaurants, bars, The Imperial War

Museum North, Boat trips, Manchester United Football stadium / shop and it also has the benefit of

a Metrolink service into Manchester City Centre.

Manchester city centre offers a huge choice of hotels at every price point and it’s choice of

restaurants, culture and nightlife are outstanding. There are regular express bus services to The

Trafford Centre with a stop just by Eventcity which run from Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria

Train Stations and the city centre.

M&S Exhibition Services Ltd will not accept any booking unless accompanied by a signed copy of this form. Stand locations are only guaranteed upon receipt of your 25% deposit in

accordance with our terms and conditions. Exhibitors will not be allowed access to their stand unless full payment of outstanding balances have been made. Payments received from

exhibitors who default in any way will not be refunded unless by prior arrangement with M&S Exhibition Services Limited in writing. Payment in full is due by 13th July 2013.
