The maximum admissible wind velocities listed hereunder are subject to the following technical preconditions:

1. That for semi-permanent Jumbrella installations--only factory approved/original cast-in sleeves (0451-99/E or 1451-99/E or, if HEATER equipped, CHIRA-0451/2007 or CHIRA-1451/2007) are used for the construction of concrete foundations, and that inground foundations are laid out to the minimum dimensions shown in the factory’s foundation drawing. 2. That only the original BAHAMA Heavy Duty Flat Foot Deck Mount (0334/E or 0335/E) utilizing ONLY Heavy Duty HILTI Load Bearing bolts, with a minimum length of 3” for installation is utilized. 3. That only original BAHAMA Portable stands, as rated by us for any specific Jumbrella model, are used for portable installation and operation of BAHAMA Jumbrellas. If such units are being used, the Maximum Wind Velocity While Open to the corresponding Jumbrella model must be REDUCED by 25%, when utilizing the associated BAHAMA Portable Stand. 4. The above preconditions assume that the BAHAMA Jumbrella is being installed at ground level. Any installations that take place above ground level (i.e. Roof Tops or 2nd Floor Balconies), the operator must REDUCE the Maximum Wind Velocity While Open to the corresponding Jumbrella model by 25%.

MANUFACTURER’S STATEMENT ON MAX. ADMISSIBLE STRESSES BY WIND

**All JUMBRELLA units are designed to be left OPEN as MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Jumbrella units should ONLY be closed and wrapped if inclement weather or Wind Ratings above unit’s stated Maximum Velocity is expected** Completely FOLDED Bahama Jumbrellas are suitable to withstand ANY wind velocity provided that they have been closed and secured to the following factory instructions: STEP 1. Collapse the Jumbrella completely and move tension lever to down position and lock with key. STEP 2. Pull folded fabric layers (8, 10 or 12 depending on model) completely out from the frame/spokes, freeing them from all mechanisms. Take flattened triangular sections and wrap the membrane around the center pole, in one direction, same way you would do with a hand held umbrella. STEP 3. Take the BAHAMA swift strap with buckle, wrap around the folded fabric membrane, pull tight, and lock/secure buckle. DO NOT use any wire, cord or tape material. STEP 4. Remove top plate with knob from top of Jumbrella STEP 5. Pull protective cover over the Jumbrella and tighten securely with straps/cord.

**Failure to follow above closing instructions will result in Membrane DAMAGE & TEARING NOT covered by Manufacturer’s Warranty**

Achieves larger coverage for rain and shade by allowing the connection of two (or more) square or rectangular shaped JUMBRELLA units. Units must be erected adjacent to one another.

Prerequisite for the installation of any TVR Gutter device is that the folding frames of each two equal-size JUMBRELLAS [erected adjacent to each other in compliance with the manufacturer’s written instructions on BAHAMA® Fabric Gutter Devices] were ordered ”factory-prefitted” to the pertinent TVR Model.

Standard tailoring edition: Unless stated otherwise when ordering, the fabric guttering is made in the same color of each of the adjacent JUMBRELLA membranes.

Indispensable technical prerequisites for installation of any JUMBRELLA intended to be equipped and operated with factory built-in, TUV-Certified edition, optional BAHAMA Heater equipment are: that only the original Asymmetric Universal Underground Footing console (CHIRA-0451/2007 or CHIRA-1451/2007) is cast in concrete on-site, or a Portable Universal Stand (CHIRA-U333-type) is used in compliance with local electrical coding/zones and that all electric power supply cables are being laid in conduit.

TUV-Certified, folding frame integrated, electric BAHAMA Heater equipment based on a 220-Volt 3- Phase 60-HZ main source existing on site and a 130-Volt 60-HZ single (AC) output (from the External Control Box) to supply theINFRARED A-Radiators inside the JUMBRELLA’S framework. Sole mode of operation with this edition of the Heater equipment: “Each of the 4 radiator A-units to be switched ON and/or OFF individually/separately inside the External Control Box.”
