www.kimds.co.in14

The central feature of the KIMDS learning approach is the creative, highly participative interplay of ideas & experiences between a dynamic group of students and a friendly, intellectually stimulating team of teachers.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management

(PGDM) is a two-year full time program designed to prepare professionals for managerial careers in industry, public sector and social sector.

The teaching methodology at KIMDS is two pronged. The first objective is to furnish students with a knowledge base to meet the needs of an extremely demanding industry and the second is to hone attitudes to respond to complex challenges in the work environment. Case study method, lectures and seminars are important, but computer based learning, simulations and business games play a growing role.

Based on the accepted pedagogy, the teaching methodology is focused in two layers. The first is to provide a knowledge bank. The second is to handle the challenges in work environment. The two layers are adopted by lecture, case study, seminar, computer based learning, simulation business game and role play through a process of participation by students.

Several seminars & workshops are arranged for the students, so as to facilitate a learning environment

Students at KIMDS view every problem as a stepping stone to

value creation and an opportunity for growth. In the second academic year, students are required to identify specific problems of the organization and solve them in the spirit of service. The objective is to act as a contributor and not as a consumer. A critical survey of industry sector-wise, precedes the choice of companies. Sectoral information is crucial to understand business processes specific to an organization and data collected by students act as viable inputs to the problem solving process.

I got the opportunity to visit the institute campus and to interact with students &

faculties of the institute. It was heartening to see such an excellent Management institute with well equipped class room, IT lab, documentation centre, conference room and hostel facilities in Jharkhand, that too within its early age of establishment. KIMDS provides an inspirational environment, which helps students / participants in pursuing their academic/social activities effectively. The pedagogy followed by the professors extends beyond the four walls of the classrooms.

Mahendra Nath DubeyPresidentBrahmaputra Metallics LimitedKamta, Gola, Ramgarh

KIMDS is an excellent Management Institute, setup only three years ago, when there was

need for such an institute in Jharkhand. Its infrastructure and the mix of young and experienced faculty members are the requisite combination for achieving the vision of the institute to be a world class organization nurturing talent and advancing knowledge in a multinational/multicultural learning environment and providing world class quality education in managerial discipline.

KIMDS' philosophy to focus on quality is bold and wise, as a result the two batches of pass out students of the institute are doing well in their respective organisations . This justifies the educational environment and international standard of curriculum of the institute.

U. K. DixitCOOElectrosteel Steels Limited

Apart from imparting quality education, Kejriwal Institute of Management and

Development Studies is playing a pivotal role in acting as an interface between corporate and society through various customized programme on effective leadership and functional skills. As I understand the students of KIMDS are well trained and equipped to face the challenges

ahead. Besides class room and group living and learning they have been exposed to various seminars, conferences and other such academic activities. They were a privileged lot to have well experienced and distinguished faculty from foreign B-School, industry and government.

Besides academics, the students of KIMDS have had a good exposure and hands on experience in various industries and companies during their summer internship. Equipped with such vast knowledge and exposure I am sure that these students will be able to make valuable contribution to the industry, economy as well as for development of the nation.
