The information panel provides the operator with information, messages, warnings, and alarms. With the keypad, the operator can select group/function from which to read information. The keypad is also used to make settings and enter number values.

The information panel and keypad are located on the instrument panel. The information panel is connected to the instrument control unit (I-ECU).

When the machine is started, the latest figure is shown from the time that the machine was turned off. The information can be adapted to the operator by selecting language and display format for units, time, and date.

Changing display screen

Move between groups/functions with the function keys on the keypad. When changing group/function, you always arrive at the top figure in each function group. Return to the figure for “operating information” takes place with the ESC-key or automatically when machine speed is over 20 km/h (12 mph).

The keys' function are also described in the following table.

Certain keys also correspond to a digit which is shown on the key's lower right corner. The number values are used, e.g., when setting date and entering PIN-code for theft protection.

The key SELECT is used to, e.g., make selections, acknowledge, and to get detailed information about any malfunctions.

The key is used to return or cancel.

Service mode

The information panel has a function called Service mode. With active Service mode it is possible to access additional or alternative information, e.g., numerical values instead of bars and part numbers for software. Service mode also has additional functions, e.g., simultaneous acknowledgement of all alarms.

The following conditions must be fulfilled to activate Service mode:

engine offParking brake appliedService key pressed in for more than 3 secondsApproved message “Enter Service mode” with SELECT-key within 10 seconds.

When Service mode is active the symbol is shown in the lower field in the operating display. To leave Service mode, press in the Service-key for at least 3 seconds.

Warnings and alarms

Warnings and alarms from the machine are obtained through a combination of central warning, buzzer, and messages in

the information panel. For further information about central warning, see .387 Central warning

Messages about alarms in the information panel are either instructional or informative. In case of serious malfunction, both instructional and informative messages are obtained as follows:

First the instructional message is obtained, e.g. Stop vehicle or Turn Off Engine.After the instruction has been performed, the informative message is obtained, e.g. Low oil level engine.

WARNINGDo not ignore the alarm and continue to operate the machine! Safely shut down the machine. Inspect and repair the fault. Failure to comply could result in injury!
