ADMISSION Applying to Dean College has never been easier. We do not charge an application fee, and we are proud to accept the Common Application. You can also apply online through our website at www.dean.edu/international_apply.

We don’t admit numbers. We admit people. Dean operates on rolling admission, meaning that applications are reviewed as they become complete. We encourage international students to apply well in advance in order to have sufficient time to schedule a visa interview and make travel arrangements.

Each student’s application is evaluated individually. Dean has no minimum GPA (grade point average) or test score prerequisite. We consider writing ability (personal statement), recommendations and national examination results, if applicable.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY AND ESL SUPPORT We know that students for whom English is a second language may score lower on the TOEFL, IELTS and Cambridge English exams or equivalent exams, despite having a good academic record. When this is the case, students may enroll in our International Student FOCUS Program, in which they receive English language support in credit-bearing classes that count toward their bachelor’s or associate degree. CAMPUS SAFETY Dean College and the town of Franklin both have reputations for being safe. STUDENT LIFE, CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS Dean’s campus is a fun and vibrant community.
