1. Who has to obtain 30 ECTS credits?
If you have less than 210 ECTS you will have to obtain the
missing ECTS during your master studies prior to the release of
the subject of your master thesis (hence prior to the beginning of
the third semester)
Even if you have studied more than 3 years abroad, uniassist
might convert your credits to only 180 ECTS.
The department „Prüfung und Praktikum“ will send an email to all
students in the first semester, who will have to obtain 30 ECTS
credits.

1. Why do I have to obtain 30 ECTS?
The master degree can only be awarded to students who
have gained a total of 300 ECTS credits.
As our master programm has 90 ECTS, we have to make
sure that all students have obtained 210 credits before.

Get a contract from your company and get it signed by Prof. Dr.
Kleine
Sign up for one of the English-taught Bachelor modules 311
(usually 4 weeks after semester start)
Do your 18 weeks internship
Sign up for the internship report in PRIMUSS
Write an internship report and hand it in on time via Mahara

At least 3 fulltime employees, who are directly working in thedepartment with the intern.
The premises of the company are not part of a private flat
The company has an employee who is responsible for the intern.

3. Duration of the Internship and
Contract
The Internship has a duration of 18 weeks and time for the PBLV-
course, which is a compulsory course accompanying the
internship.
There is a German contract on the Bachelor website, but usually
the companies prefer to use their own contracts.

Approval of the Contract I
Contract has to be signed by Prof. Dr. Jens Kleine (LO 115)
during his office hour in order to allow questions regarding the
tasks during the internship, duration, vacation etc.
Dead-line for approval: 31. July 2018/ mid-February 2019
Contracts which are handed in lated can only be approved with a
just cause and prior notice

Confirmation about the Intership is given only by the department

Sozial Insurance
Students are exempt from the social insurance during their
internship
Durch das Urteil des Bundessozialgerichtes vom 17.12.1980 (Az.:
12 RK 10/79) steht rechtskräftig fest, dass Sie im praktischen
Studiensemester nicht der Versicherungspflicht nach den für
abhängig Beschäftigte geltenden Regeln unterliegen. Somit sind
Sie in der Renten- und Arbeitslosenversicherung versicherungs-
und beitragsfrei; in der Krankenversicherung der Studierenden
unterliegen Sie der Bestimmung des § 5 Abs. 1 Nr. 9 und 10
Sozialgesetzbuch V. Demnach besteht keine Beitragspflicht zur
Krankenversicherung für abhängig Beschäftigte.

The certificate is not part of the „Praktikumsbericht“ (= Internship
Report)
Please upload the „Zeugnis“ in Primus
How to upload in Primuss: Go to „Anträge und Nachrichten.“
Choose from the list „ Abgabe Praktikantenzeugnis“
Step 2: Klick on the Button „Antrag herunterladen“
Step 3 is not necessary.
Step 4: please upload your certificate
You will be able to see the 25 ECTS in Primus in your
„Notenblatt“

Can be handed in as pdf or E-portfolio in Mahara

Internship Supervisor
Your supervisor is your contact person during the internship, he or
she marks your internship report and might even visit you in your
company.
In case of a change in company or if you want to terminate the
intership permaturely, you have to contact Prof. Dr. Kleine.

6. Internship Modules BA 311
Accompanying modules from the Bachelor are BA 311: „Methodisch-
soziale Kompetenzen“
You will receive 5 ECTS
Written exam or Seminar Paper
The courses can be found on the website 3-6 weeks after the start of the
semester
You choose one of the offered courses and apply for them via PRIMUSS.
Duration of this module: 6 full days ususally at the end of the semester
Please make sure that you will be able to take time off from your
internship
Recommendation: use the contract from the Hochschule München. It
states in § 2 that you can take time off during the Internship

6. When do the Internship modules
take place?
There are usually 3 blocked weeks: one week prior to and two
weeks after the exams
Please check the dates in NINE / ask the lecturer

6. How do I apply for the 311
modules?
There will be a lottery system, but English-speaking
students have priority in English-taught courses
You have to sign up three times:
– once for the course
– secondly for the exam
– in NINE to receive all infomations about the course!

The application for the modules starts usually 4 weeks after
the semester started.
