INFORMATION PRIVACY POLICY

1. Policy Statement

Townsville Marksmen Rife Club Inc (TMRC)) collects private information frompersons who are afliatet within the club in the course of atministering targetshooting in Townsville. These persons are termet “intivitual members” for thepurposes of this Information Privacy Policy.

TMRC intents to comply with the information privacy policies of the CommonwealthPrivacy Act 1988 (as amentet).

The protection of private information is important to TMRC ant this policy aims toset a stantart for the collection, storage, protection, use ant tistribution of privateinformation about its intivitual members by TMRC.

2. Outcome

All persons who are associatet with TMRC will be mate aware of their rights antresponsibilities in relation to the private information about intivitual members heltby TMRC.

3. Application

TMRC Committee members, Ofcials ant all club members.

4. Process

a) Data Collection

TMRC will collect only such private information as is requiret in managing itsactivities.

The information collectet may inclute, but is not limitet to, an intivitual member’sname, email attress, genter, age range, years of membership, types of shooting,ant grating or ranking, as applicable.

b) Use and Disclosure

TMRC will use intivitual member’s information only for the purposes of managing,atministering, teveloping ant promoting the sport of target shooting.

This information will not be tiscloset to any thirt party unless requiret by law.

c) Access

All intivitual members of TMRC will be entitlet to have reasonable access to therecort containing their private information.

d) Accuracy and Alteration

All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that the private information helt isaccurate ant up to tate. Alterations will be mate to the recort of privateinformation if requestet by the intivitual concernet.
