Massey University Email – Connect Samsung Galaxy S3/S3 mini/S4/S4 mini/S5/Express 2 to Exchange Email
Adds an account on the device to connect to exchange email Applies to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Prior Requirements
You must have an active Massey network account, i.e. you should already be able to log onto the wired Massey network (for example the computer labs) for Staff with your Massey username and password and Students with your Student ID number and PIN.
You must be an exchange email user.
1. Tap Apps.
2. Swipe screen to browse through the apps and tap Settings.

3. Tap Accounts or Accounts and sync.
On new versions of Android 4, you need to
tap the Accounts tab at the top of the
screen (right hand screenshot).

4. Tap add account.

5. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
6. Enter your email address and password then tap the Manual setup button.

7. Enter your Massey username with
massey\ in front of it under the
Domain\User name section.
Type your password and specify
owa.massey.ac.nz as the exchange
server then tap the Done button then
tap the Next button.
8. Read the activation message and if you agree tap OK. You may also receive a message about owa.massey.ac.nz asking to remotely control some features. Tap OK. Note: You must tap OK on these warning screens to progress and complete the setup.

9. Wait for auto configuration
10. Customise account options to suit. Default settings will work.
11. Swipe the phone to scroll down and tap
the Next button to continue.
12. Give the account a name and click Done. On the S4 click Activate if you receive an activation message.

13. Browse to the apps section, find and tap
the email application.
14. Tap OK to accept the security update On the S4 you may not need to follow this step as you may have already accepted it.
15. (Optional) Your email should now be
setup. To change settings follow steps 1
to 3 and tap on your account
