History 2005, Palm Springs Unified School

District (PSUSD) worked with Sun Cal Development to acquire 80 acres of land for a new high school and elementary school site

2007, PSUSD completed the design of the new high school

2010, The Rattlers was the chosen mascot by a district wide vote of students and staff

May – 2010, Construction of the new high school began

History The City of Rancho Mirage approved

naming of the main street in front of the High School - Rattler Road

February – 2012, the PSUSD Board of Education approve Rancho Mirage High School as the official name

May – 2012, the PSUSD Board of Education approved the Boundary Committee’s recommendation for RMHS

Spring – 2013, Construction is scheduled to be complete

August – 2013, Rancho Mirage High School will open

Performing Arts Pathway

Students will have the opportunity to explore their area of interest (theatre, band, choir, and dance) as well as participate in synchronized musical theatre productions.

This pathway includes a sequence of Career Technical Education (CTE) courses (set design, sound and lighting, and stage production) combined with a rigorous course of study in the core academic areas.

Boundary / Transfer Information

PSUSD is an Open Enrollment District: PSUSD is requiring that all students entering

grades 9 and 10 in the 2013/14 school year who wish to attend a school other than their school of residence to complete a transfer request between January 7, 2013 and February 15, 2013. 

All transfer request applications must be submitted electronically through the computer station in the Student Services office  from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 980 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
