COMMUNITY PROJECT

Project Name:

“INFORMING THE MIHAI EMINESCU COMMUNITY”

Project Goal and Objectives• Our Goal is to connect teachers, parents and

students of different ages.• Objectives: • To increase attendance for school events by 30 to

50 % in 2014-2015 school year• For students to advertise their own activities in

school and outside school• To provide a quality presentation to parents so they

are informed about school and community events• For teachers to exchange their professional

experience.

Project DescriptionWe replaced the

announcement board with a new magnetic one in the hall of the

lyceum

In teachers’ room we purchased 2 Bulletin

Boards where teachers and

vicedirectors could post their

information. The teachers will pin

useful reasources, pictures of different

events, seminars, trainings etc.

We

We also bought a proper screen for the

school projector. Instead of backside maps , the teachers

can use the screen for projecting their information or

presentations while organizing parents’ meetings , seminars

etc.

It was easy to buy the equipment and the necessary supplies but the most difficult part was to take a good decision that will meet some of our

demands.There were so many questions like: what school should we help?

Which shop has the most convenient prices for our supplies or could sell us cheaper the

equipment?

We realized the importance of being tolerant and collaborative while working in a team. We worked in small groups and we had

different tasks :finding out the prices in different shops , negotiate with the shop assistant finding solutions foe

transporting the equipment etc . We came up with different ideas and results of our Investigations at Access lessons.

Sometimes we hold discussions about

our grant in an informal

atmosphere with our guest Brent. He

provided a lot of pieces of advice

useful for our future

When we want to post useful information for our students it was quite difficult because it looked awful and nobody paid attention to it . We will use it with the greatest pleasure and I hope our community will get informed

This project is very welcome for our school. The boards and the screen are important and useful tools for organizing the education process. The students were excited and they quickly noticed the new board on the first floor and the information posted there as well. I also use the screen projector especially while teaching the French culture and civilization. Thank you for your efforts in modernizing our school”

My collegues and I, we like the new board very much. It is so beautiful and comfortable to write or to post information here. Being a member of Students’ consilium in our school we tried to post announcements on the board but many times we had a little space or even if we wanted to attract students’ attention it was hard to do this because they didn’t notice our invitations or useful information”
