In 2004 INFORMS introduced its newest peer-reviewed journal, Decision Analysis, dedicated to advancing the theory, application, and teaching of all aspects ofdecision analysis.

The primary focus of the journal is to develop and study operational decision-makingmethods. The journal bridges theory and practice, facilitating communication and theexchange of knowledge among decision analysts in academia, business, industry, andgovernment.

The Decision Analysis audience includes all those interested in practical aspects ofdecision analysis and decision theory. Because decision theory and decision analysisare highly interdisciplinary, the audience includes specialists in decision theory, psy-chology, economics, statistics, forecasting, artificial intelligence, decision support sys-tems, and operations research and management science.

The audience also includes practitioners of decision analysis who work as consultantsor in-house experts within organizations and instructors of decision analysis ordecision making courses.
