    EVR ZERNE NOTLAReviri glklerle dolu bir uratr; kimi kuramclar evirinin olanakszln bile ileri srmledir. Gerekten iyi

    eviri iki (kaynak ve erek) dil arasnda bir edeerlik kurma sorunu olarak tanmlanmaktadr. Bu edeerliinniteliinin anlalmas evirinin anlalmasn kolaylatrabilir. Kimi benzerlikler olsa bile diller arasnda (akraba dillerarasnda bile) yapsal bir edeerlikten sz edilemez. Akas bir dilde bir szckle anlatlan bir olgu baka bir dildebir sz bei ya da bir cmlecikle anlatlabilir. (rn. the babywho is crying: alayan bebek) ya da szgelimi belli birdilbilgisi ulam iin bir dilde tek bir biim varken (rn. -ebil) teki dilde birden ok biim bulunabilir, (rn. can, may,might vb.) yleyse yapsal edeerlikten ok anlam edeerliinden sz etmek daha uygun olabilir. Ancak bu dayetmez. ki dilin birimleri arasnda kullanm (ya da ilev) edeerlii de kurulmu olmaldr. Bu bakmdan kullanmbalamnn bilinmesi nem tar. Bilim metinleri gndelik dille aktarlmayaca gibi, gndelik konuma metinlerininyazn dili biimiyle evrilmesi de gln olur. Bu nedenledir ki iyi evirmenler genellikle almalarn belli bir yazar,

    belli bir tr ya da belli bir konuyla snrlama eilimindedirler.Bu genel belirlemelerden sonra Trke-ngilizce evirilerdeki kimi sorunlara deinebiliriz. (Bu sorunlar oldukaok boyutludur, ilerdeki blmlerde yeri geldike ayrntl aklamalar yaplacaktr.)

    Genel sorunlar ngilizce ve Trkenin iki ayr dil ailesine bal olmasndan kaynaklanan yap ve anlatmsorunlardr. (Bilindii gibi ngilizce Hint-Avrupa kkenli bir dildir, Trke ise Altay dilleri ailesindendir. te yandangnmzde dillerin evrensel zellikleri zerinde nemle durulmaktadr. eviri yaplabilmesi de byk lde buzelliklerle aklanmaktadr.)

    Temeldeki bu ayrlk en belirgin biimde iki dilin tmce kuruluuna yansmtr. Trke tmceler ilke olarak zne-nesne-yklem (SOV) dzeninde yaplandklar halde ngilizce tmceler zne-yklem-nesne (SVO) dzenindedir.Bunun sonucu eviriye ilk balayan rencide I go to school (okula giderim) tmcesi yerine Trke yaplanmayauygun olarak I to school go / I am to school going trnden eviri rneklerine rastlanmaktadr. eviri yapanrenciye ncelikle bu temel ayrntnn sezdirilmesi gerekir.

    Grld gibi the man bir yerde adam, bir yerde adamabiiminde evrilmitir. Dillerin temelindekiyaplanmay bilmeyen renciye artc gelebilecek bir olgudur bu. te yandan:

    tmcelerinde siyah yazl sz beklerindeki in, on, at, szcklerinin de Trkeye -de, -da biimindeevrilmitir; yapsal edeerlik arayan renci iin bu da bir sorundur.

    Grld gibi ad niteleyen sfat tmcecii (inanan kimse/ masann zerindekikitap) Trkede nitelediiaddan nce geldii halde ngilizce de addan sonra gelmektedir. Bunun yan sra nitelenin yerindeki deiikliklernedeniyle temel ve yan tmce sralanmalarnda da deiiklik ve aralanma grlmektedir. Trkenin etkisindekalnarak dlen bir iki yanlgdan sz ederek bu blm bitirebiliriz. Onu geen gn grdm / Ona geen gnrastlarm. Oraya geen gn gittik gibi tmcelerde geen -e, -a ve -ya taklar I went to school yesterday gibiyaplardan rneksenerek to kullanlp evrilmektedir; oysa ngilizce him (ona/onu), there / (oraya, orada) szckleribu anlamlar ierdiklerinden byle kurulular yanl olmaktadr.     Genel izgileriyle deindiimiz bu temel ayrmlara son olarak szcklerle ilgili bir iki gl ekleyelim. En bataok anlamllkla ilgili sorunlar sz konusudur. rnekler: evde kalmak (to stay at home), snfta kalmak (to fail); gz(eye, drawer, spring); durum (condition, situation, state, circumstance) i (inside, interior, stomach, internal) : kat(fold, layer, story, quantity) : oyun (game, play, jest, dance); orta (middle, central, mean) dil (tongue, language,index, bolt). Bu szcklerin yalnzca szlk anlamna dayanarak eviri yaptmz dnsek yle gln rneklerleyz yze gelebiliriz: "the eye of the table (drawer); "a man of central height (a man of medium height); "the writer ofa game (playwright)" "he speaks two tongues (he speaks two languages). Bu nedenle szc szcne aktarmyerine Trke ya da ingilizce bir szck ya da sz bei yerine ne kullanldn bilmek nemlidir. Bu adanszcklerin birliktelii nem tamaktadr. rn. kapy almak (to knock at the door), yan izmek (to slip away),darda kalmak (to be in difficulties), doru kmak (to prove to be right), dmen krmak (to change course) emekvermek (to labour) gibi rneklerde grld gibi birlikte kullanlan szckler iki dilde tmyle ayrdr. Birliktelikkonusu son olarak ngilizce ilgelerin (preposition) evirisinde yabanc evirmenin zel bir dikkat gstermesi

    gerektiini anmsamamz gerektirmektedir. u rnekleri dnelim: birinden zr dilemek: apologize to (from deil);bir eyle beslenmek: feed on (with deil); bir yere varmak: arrive in (on, at) (to deil); birey iin para harcamak:spend on (for deil). Ayra iindeki Trkeye uygun den ilgeleri kullanarak eviri yapmak evirmeni yanlgyasrkleyecektir. Deyimlerin, argo, teklifsiz dil kullanm, yazn dili gibi deiik dil kesitlerinin ortaya karacasorunlar ve yerel grenek ve ulusal kltr ynelimli szck ve anlatmlarn karaca glkler de bunlaraeklenmelidir.

    zetle Trke-ngilizce eviri almas iki dili, dillerin yanstt dnya grn iyi bilmeyi, diller arasndayukarda sz edilen genel ayrmlar ve bundan sonraki blmlerde belirtilecek zgl ayrmlara ka duyarldavranmay gerektirmektedir. zellikle rnek yap ve aklamalar dikkatle incelenir ve duyarlkla davranlrsa temelyanlglardan kanmak zor olmayacaktr.

    Ayrca kitap hazrlanrken ilke olarak tm yabanc dille retim yapan okullarn, niversite hazrlksnflarnn, niversitelerin dil blmlerinin, yurt d greve atanacaklarn, bankaclarn, doentlik veprofesrlk snavlarna hazrlananlarn ve basn dili zerinde alma yapanlarn gereksinmeleri gz nndetutularak bu alanlara hizmet amalanmaktadr.     4) Tmle: ingilizce'de eylemden sonra gelip eylemin anlamn tamamlayan szcklerin tmne tmledenebilir. (Eylemden nce gelip eylemi ya da zneyi niteleyen szcklere niteleyen -modifier'denilecektir).
