The PlotA teenager is approached by an organisation to train to be an assassin to eliminate the worlds most wanted criminals. All seems to be well until they discover a room full of computers,

charts and images that show world leaders and influential celebrities. They are caught in this room and drugged to forget what they have

seen. However this doesn't work and they soon have to struggle to leave the facility and

destroy the information the organisation holds on these leaders.

Inspiration

The trailer for Final Girl (linked to the image above) inspired me with the idea of having the film about a teenager in a training

program, as Abigail Breslin is seen to join a similar thing. However the film then appears to change and involves an action thriller sequence involving a group of guys that play a ‘game’ of killing people. The beginning of the trailer with the enrolment to the

scheme reminded me of The Maze Runner series. This then inspired the idea of an uprising against the organisation, also seen in The

Maze Runner films. In particular The Scorch Trials (also linked above) as this is when the characters discover the sinister secrets of the organisation they are a part of. The idea for the company to

be linked to assassination, along with the idea of one teenager fighting back is also inspired by Hanna (linked above). All three

trailers have a quick cut sequence of shots that are a montage style showing an action sequence. I would use this in my trailer to show

the characters fight back against the organisation.

Marketing This film would be of the action thriller genre and aimed at the target audience of 15 to 24 year olds, as this genre is popular

among this age range. To market towards this audience I would utilise social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and

Youtube to advertise the film trailer and posters. This is a popular platform for the age range so this would be very useful

in generating an audience for the film.

Brand IdentityAcross the teaser trailer and film posters I would create brand identity by using the same font and

colour scheme. Additionally the same actors would be used.

I would use a font similar to Helvetica Neue Bold, which is what I have used throughout this

powerpoint, as this is similar to what was used in ‘Zero Dark Thirty’s film campaign. This film is a thriller and adventure drama which would be

similar to the genre of my film so I feel this font would help to portray the action genre in the

marketing.

The colour scheme would be black, blues and dark reds as a dark colour scheme is typical of

the thriller genre. I would also make sure to control the lighting and setting during filming and use post production to make sure these colours

are prominent in the teaser trailer and not just in the text and film posters.

Trailer planThe trailer would start with long duration shots of two

people in conversation in a small room. This would then lead on to a slow montage of the teenager being taught and living at the organisations training centre. A voice

over would be used at this point to give some detail as to the aim of the organisation. The teenager will then be

seen entering a locked room and discovering a line up of ‘targets’ which are all world leaders and celebrities. This will prompt a quick moving shot of the items in the room as though the characters eyes are flicking over them. this would be followed by a quick cut montage of the teenager being caught, drugged and detained. An extreme close up of them waking up will be seen followed by another action montage of them trying to escape which will be intercut

with shots of the room and target posters.
