PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

In 2017, Inkling partnered with ALG to deliver our third Elevate* program and first

Elevate Plus; an in-depth leadership program for a small number of senior leaders. Since running the program with AGL over three years, we identified a need to extend this learning for leaders moving into executive level roles. The Elevate Plus program is designed to build confidence and capability of senior leaders to operate at executive level. Elevate comprised of several components, as outlined below.

AGL continues to partner with Inkling for the fourth year in a row to develop female leaders within the organisation.

*The Elevate program was delivered within AGL under the title of ‘Illuminate’

PROGRAM SUMMARY

PROGRAM LAUNCH

• A two hour event to launch the program to participants, line managers and executive team/senior leadership members

• Individual diagnostic assessments and setting of personal objectives

• One x two-hour individual coaching session to debrief ECR 360 and StrengthsFinder2.0

The Elevate Plus program supported AGL to;

• Identify career paths and capability gaps of their most senior high-potential team at AGL • Gain the support and engagement of senior leaders in moving past the barriers to gender equity • Start operating differently at leadership level in order to increase gender equity across the business and build a culture

in which everyone can thrive

The Elevate Plus Program achieved significant outcomes for AGL. The results outlined below speak for themselves. Summary of the key outcomes that participants saw from the Elevate Plus Program were:

Confidence. Prior to the program, only 60% of participants reported that they had the skills to be an outstanding leader at AGL, post- program this had increased to 100%.

Resilience. Pre-program only 20% of women felt that they had tools to help them juggle work and life commitments, post-program this had increased to 100%.

Ability to juggle work and life. 100% of participants believed they had the tools to juggle work and life commitments at the end of the program, compared with 80% before the program.

Movement. Before completing Illuminate Plus, 40% of participants reported that they were confident to seek out new senior leadership opportunities at AGL, post-program this had increased to 100% of women.

Evaluation of the program. • 100% of participants reported that the program has

helped them to be more confident in their skills and abilities, and to be willing to back themselves.

• 100% of participants state that the program has helped them to build resilience.

• 100% of participants reported that Elevate Plus had assisted them to take on a more senior role at AGL.
