The map on the upper left shows the mineral zones (shells) at Bingham: 1. The intrusive core, with copper-moly mineralization 2. The pyrite shell, which may have copper and gold 3. The Lead-Zinc-Silver zone 4. The outer gold-silver shell. Gold orebodies are found locally from the

intrusive out to the outer shell boundary, because gold is later than the other metals.

The lower left map schematic shows the intrusive core with the outer gold areas. The lower right photo shows the Bingham pit, and at the top, the Melco Mine (1,209,390 oz Au) and the Barney’s Canyon Mine (495,880 oz. Au) There are gold deposits like the BCS (106,764 oz Au) lying in between Melco and the Bingham Intrusive The upper right photo shows the Barney’s Canyon Mine open pit, where gold has come up the fault feeders and deposited OPHL gold ore in locally dolomitic rocks!

The brown spot in the satellite image is where the 1996 drillholes are. The green limestones on Discovery Knoll shown above are highly altered to a green color (propylitic alteration with green chlorite and pyrite). The limestones were altered and turned into marble by heating, likely by a large intrusive below. The white horizontal bands are calcite from this marbleization and alteration.

The limestones were altered and turned into marble by heating, likely by a large intrusive below. The white horizontal bands are calcite from this marbleization and alteration, and the brown Iron Oxide bands seen in between limerock layers likely are sulfide mineralization that has been oxidized to limonite. These probably occur sporadically downward to the 250 foot level, where the high grade gold-silver zone was encountered in drillhole 96-10.

This slide shows “shells” of alteration and mineralization around the main intrusive delineated by the aeromag and ground mag surveys. The alteration is “hottest” in the center and coolest around the periphery. The “coolest” is the green Propylitic alteration, which is green chlorite and pyrite. The next inner shell is the Lead-Zinc-Silver halo, which is most obvious at North Knoll with high grade lead mineralization there. The Copper Shell lies around the center granitic intrusive, like at Bingham. This is where we should find the most high grade copper mineralization, and there may be gold there too, like at the Phoenix Mine in the Battle Mountain district of Nevada. There may be a central “hottest” molybdenum core if we have a true porphyry copper system like at Bingham. If it is a “failed porphyry” like at Phoenix, we may have more gold than molybdenum! The gold system at Discovery Knoll may be later than the intrusive “shells” and may be controlled by the NW trending 6km x 600m fault system shown cutting the shells.
