beltorque® technology uses 2 sets of lateral belts unlike similar apparatuses that use multi-station discs and spindles to screw and tighten the closures.

With the beltorque® technology, the belts are in contact with the caps long enough to apply and measure accurately and repetitively the torque on the caps.

The beltorque® technology is a patented system that synchro-nizes the linear displacement speed of the container and the rotating speed of the closure even when the cap stops turning. The beltorque® product is the most innovative technology in inline capping in decades. Cap bottle automated pick-up and cap elevator sorter-orienter are also patented technologies.

ApplicationsThe beltorque® technology is presently used in 3 types of equipment:

• Thefullyautomatedinlinecapper, model BT-IC.

The cap tightener (retorquer), model BT-RTThis unit is usually placed after a cap induction sealing machine or to apply a controlled torque on closures previously screwed.

• Thebeltorque®, model BT-RT, is an inline cap tightener that uses two (2) sets of belts.

• Thecontainergripperbeltsstabilizethe containers for the cap tightening operations.

• Thetighteningbeltsapplythefinaltorque to the caps.

The cap screwer-tightener, model BT-STThis model is mainly used on semi-automatic line to screw and tighten closures previously placed on the containers.

• Thebeltorque®, model BT-ST, is an inline cap screwer-tightener mounted with three (3) sets of belts.

• Thecontainergripperbeltsstabilizethecontainers for the cap screwing and tightening operations.

The capper, model BT-IC This model is fully automatic. It places the cap on the container, screwing the cap and applying a controlled torque on it.• LiketheBT-STmodel,thebeltorque® capper is

equipped with three (3) sets of belts. The con-tainer gripper belts are much longer than those of the 2 previous models.

• Thecontainergripperbeltsstabilizethe containers during the capping operation.

• Thescrewingbeltsplaceandscrewtheclosureon the container.

• Thetighteningbeltsapplythefinalrequiredtorque to the caps.

• Theautomaticinlinebeltorque® capper is mounted with:

- Cap elevator sorter-orienter.

- Caps chute.

- Dedicated change parts for final placing and tightening of the closures on the container.

• APLCmonitorstheentirecappingprocessandthe critical parameters are logged in machine memory via an HMI—also available as an option on models BT-RT and BT-ST.

• Thebeltorque® BT-IC may be supplied with different systems of cap orienters, depending on the type of closure in use: vibrating bowl, centrifugal orienter, patented elevator sorter-orienter.

• Theintegratedtorquemonitoringmodule(optional) attachment reads and displays the application torque for further evaluation of the product—also available as an option for the BT-RT and BT-ST.

• Aninspectionstation(optional)verifiesthepresence of the cap on the container, the presence of the foil, the skewed caps and the lay-down bottles.
