European Green Vehicles initiative – innovation through cPPP
• Future challenges in the transport area (e.g decarbonisation) can only be solved by adopting a system approach including infrastructure and energy supply.
• The cPPP tool is of great added-value in fostering innovation and tackling societal
challenges.
• A coherent and stable policy framework is needed to support investments and guarantee favourable conditions to the market deployment of innovation (e.g common charging infrastructures for EVs, legal framework for automated vehicles).
• In a globalised context, the support to innovation is also coming from the definition
of standards and regulations at international level.

Innovation ecosystems – the Innovative Medicines Initiative IMI as a productive public-private partnership for innovative medicines
IMI is a magnet for collaboration and co-investment.
IMI facilitates end-to-end integration, from research to
consumers of innovation (patients and payers).
IMI is a neutral platform for pharmaceutical companies
and others to collaborate and share data and
knowledge.
IMI is an open model that is attracting other disciplines
(e.g. ICT).
