The Malaysian Association of Money Services Business will be organizing the Money Services Business Asia Pacific Conference 2017 with the theme of Harnessing Innovation For The Sustainability Of The Money Services Business Industry. This conference will see currency exchange and remittance industry players, regulators, technology companies, banks and inter-governmental agencies from the Asia Pacific region come together to discuss the future of the industry.
This conference aims to discuss the various innovative solutions and technological advancements in the money services business industry that have and will enhance customer experience, products and services as well as accessibility via more cost-effective means. This event will explore the global currency exchange and remittance markets and the development impact of this industry in the Asia Pacific Region. We will look at how the industry is evolving to meet the needs of the customer while leveraging on latest advancements. We will look at the opportunities and threats to continued industry growth and development. This event will showcase the dynamism and innovation of the currency exchange and remittance marketplace and serve as a platform where views can be exchanged on how to address obstacles and challenges.
We will have sessions to discuss amongst others the new remittance and currency exchange business models, product innovation, FinTech, RegulatoryTech, financial inclusion, wallet, e-payment, cryptocurrency, bitcoin and blockchain.
In the Money Transfer Asia Pacific Conference 2015 that we organized with the International Association of Money Transfer Networks in November 2015 at Kuala Lumpur, we saw over 400 delegates from 32 countries congregate here to be part of the discussion on the vibrant and ever changing money services business landscape. This year we hope to build on the success of the 2015 conference and break new ground in looking at innovation and new entrants in the MSB industry in the region that are powering the bright future of the industry.
