1. COMPLIMENTARY TRADE TICKETS/PROMO CODES

Send out complimentary trade tickets/promo codes to your key clients.

You will receive complimentary trade tickets /promo codes for mailing to your key clients

and prospects in the beginning of January 2018.

SOME TERMS & CONDITIONS ON THE USE OF PROMO CODES:

The allocated number of invites/promo codes you will receive depends on the size of

your stand. Please do request additional amounts if you require more invitations (subject

to organiser’s approval and allotment limitations).

Each trade invitation/promo code is worth AED 400 yet entitles the holder to 100% free

registration and entry.

It is up to you how you would like to distribute promo codes to your clients once you

have received them from the organiser.

There is one promo code for each registration and the same promo code cannot be used

by more than one person registering.

Each person registering will need to use a unique e-mail address.

Your clients can only register online with the unique code mentioned on their invitation

before its specified deadline which is 12 February 2018.

The complimentary trade invitations/promo codes cannot be exchanged onsite.

SOME HELPFUL TIPS WHEN WRITING A PRESS RELEASE

A press release should be newsworthy.

The purpose of a press release is to inform the world of your news item. A good press

release answers all of the "W" questions (who, what, where, when and why), providing

the media with useful information about your organisation, product, service or event.

Have a strong headline.

Your headline and first paragraph should tell the story. The rest of your press release

should provide the detail. You have a matter of seconds to grab your readers'

attention. Make sure the first 10 words of your release are effective, as they are the

most important.

Write for the Media.

On occasion the media, especially online media, will pick up your press release and

run it in their publications with little or no modification. Even if your news is not

reprinted verbatim, it may provide great exposure. Follow up and call the most

important publications to ensure they have seen your release.

Not everything is news!

Your excitement about something does not necessarily mean that you have a

newsworthy story. Think about your audience. Focus on the aspects of your news that

truly sets you apart from everyone else. Offer interviews.

Stick to the facts.

Tell the truth, avoid exaggeration. Journalists are naturally sceptical. If your story

sounds too good to be true, you are probably hurting your own credibility.

Pick an angle.

Try to make your press release timely. Tie your news to current events or industry

issues if possible. Make sure that your story has a good news hook.

Keep it simple and avoid fancy language.

While a limited amount of technical language might be required if your goal is to

optimise your news release for online search engines, the best way to communicate

your news is to speak plainly, using ordinary language.

Provide as much contact information as possible about your company. Your press

release should end with a short paragraph that describes your company, products,

service and a short company history. Be sure to attach some great images with

your story and your company logo.

The Gulfood Innovation Awards celebrate and reward excellence across brands and products,

with an industry-wide campaign encouraging over 300 entries, a judging panel of prestigious

industry leaders, and culminating at the glamorous awards gala dinner, held during the

This year, entry to the Gulfood Innovation Awards is FREE for all confirmed exhibitors.

Please visit your E-Zone for important information about submitting entries.

You may submit entries online via the E-Zone. If your entry is short-listed, you will be notified

for submission of your actual product for the judging panel which will take place in Dubai

approx. 3-4 weeks before the show.

Products shortlisted, have to be delivered to organizers office during built up as a mock up

or product. Products which are not delivered will not be displayed.

Halal World Food at Gulfood is the biggest halal food sourcing platform in the world and will

showcase a full spectrum of halal products, connecting buyers with suppliers.

Do you offer Halal products and is your company Halal-certified? If so, don’t forget to select

the 1) “Yes” in this mandatory question within the E-Zone and 2) upload your valid Halal

certificate to authenticate your “Yes” selection. In keeping with our commitment to provide a

credible Halal sourcing platform and adhering to stringent global Halal standards, the

Gulfood 2018 Directory of Halal exhibitors will only include those exhibitors who have

successfully 1) tagged themselves “Yes” as a Halal exhibitor and 2) submitted their updated

and valid Halal certificate. Simply selecting “Yes” will not guarantee your entry in the Halal

listing. You must upload a valid Halal certificate to be included.

Similarly, if you answer “No” but at the same time upload a certificate, you will still not be

included in the directory as the “Yes” or “No” selection is the first and primary step for the

selection.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that exhibitors who do not upload a valid Halal certificate to the E-Zone will not

be included in the show’s Halal list of exhibitors and will not appear in any of the show’s

associated Halal listings for example, the listings on the website, printed show catalogue,

event guide, mobile app, Connexions and so on. Please be sure to both answer this

mandatory question in the E-Zone and upload your valid Halal certificate to be included as

part of the Halal exhibitors of Gulfood.

The Media Centre will be in operation during the exhibition to enable exhibitors to liaise with

the media and pass on information, important news and photographs. It will be located

above Hall 3 in Al Ain F. Media packs for the event can be dropped off from 1 pm on

Saturday 17 February 2018. To enable your press release to be uploaded onto the official

show website, please ensure you supply your press releases in soft copy. We strongly
