AWS Apprenticeship

• NOVA is now the East Coast provider of IT

apprenticeship for Amazon Web Services

(AWS)

• Program Launch: July 2017, focused on

recruitment of new talent (veterans)

• Education levels vary by program from no

degree requirement through bachelor’s degree

in IT

• Trainings to date: Associate Cloud Consultants,

Cloud Support Associates, Solutions Architects,

Data Center Technicians, and Network

• Intensive 3-year format; allows students to begin the security clearance process

and provides tuition reimbursement toward a four-year degree

• NOVA students are hired after their first year at the college

• NOVA selected as one of the first community college partners in the nation
