In the 1960s, Werner Humann had a problem.

He and his wife had just moved into an apartment and needed an engraved name plate to identify the buzzer to the Humanns’ new home in London, Ontario. Keen to find a solution, Mr. Humann decided to create his own name plate and sell them to others. What started as a way to solve his own dilemma has lead to over 50 years of solving problems for over 20,000 customers across North America as International Name Plate Supplies (INPS).

FEATURE PROJECT

Challenge: To execute a multi-application project for national brand identification including on-site installation from branch to branch.

Solution: To ensure continuity across the chain at all locations INPS deployed a National Installation team to execute the graphic and signage applications for the entire project including walls, glass, floors and signage with branded messages and promotions.

Project Overview: To provide CIBC with corporate-branded solutions and imaging for its head office in the Greater Toronto Area as well as new construction and retrofits for branches across Canada.

Challenge: The YMCA was not permitted to paint any common areas, such as the walls or floors in the elevator lobby. An alternate solution was required to define the space, establish private areas and communicate to visitors the YMCA’s mandate of activity and inclusiveness.

Solution: By using removable vinyl, our creative team transformed the space with custom floor, wall and ceiling graphics to make a thriving, vibrant environment that aligns with the YMCA’s vision.

A basketball theme was used throughout the lobby and office area culminating in a large wall graphic of youths playing basketball. In the boardroom, a historical time line of the “Y” was applied to dimensional panels.

Project Overview: A lively, active facility, the YMCA in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) required graphic installations to enhance and define their location without any permanent installations or renovations to the existing structure.

Challenge: To uphold the professional brand image of Mercedes-Benz with montages and custom cut logo applications, while providing private, functional staff-only areas.

Solution: Although the dealership was spacious, staff required defined private areas without disrupting the branding that flowed throughout the large open showroom.

A historical montage was printed on translucent graphic material to allow light into the staff-only area without interrupting the continuity and enhancing the overall aesthetic of the showroom.

Project Overview: A busy retail environment requiring graphics to convey the upscale brand image and define spaces.

Challenge: An AGM deadline of 6 weeks from the project request including applications of vinyl on corrugated walls, production of self standing signs with mounts, custom fabricated mounting of a large banner onto a hanger wall, and branding on the building.

Solution: To address the corrugated wall we printed on a control tack material on horizontal panels to facilitate installation. In order to mount the self standing signs we engineered an acrylic mount to act as feet to hold the 6’ x 3’ acrylic sheet. For the large banner we had to seam and mount by an angle bracket to apply to the provided structure, as we were unable to mount directly to the wall. To brand the building we installed vinyl on glass.

Challenge: To create a simpler graphic orientation to the trash streams, explaining where recycling items are deposited vs other non-recyclables.

To develop a stand alone recycling container / bin to distinguish and separate the recyclables from other waste within the facilities.

Solution: Our graphic designers transformed the current markings and graphic layout to draw attention to the proper refuge slots. This was done by adding colour graphics and images to draw attention to the new recycling campaign.

Our engineers designed and manufactured the container / bin which has been placed with a much higher percentage of recyclables.

Project Overview: Issue with mixing of the trash which eliminates the ability to institute a recycling program (confusion re: images over the refuge slots).
