The house points for the Primary Carnival were:

This year, students who have met qualifying times, will be able to attend the

Zone Swimming Carnival to be held at Alstonville on Thursday 25th February.

Permission notes have been sent home to those who have qualified.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have been informed that no

parents will be able to attend the Zone Carnival.

Fiona Fields, K-6 Teacher

Zone Cricket Trials Congratulations to Jaiden Cooper (Year 6) for being selected in the PSSA

Zone Cricket team. He will now represent the Northern Rivers at the North

Coast trials to be held in Grafton. Jaiden wrote about his experience below:

“On Monday 15th February I went to the Zone Cricket trials in Lismore. There

were 32 boys from many different schools. We were split into two groups and

my group went on the field first. We played a game of cricket where when you

were the batter, you had to run off every ball and

couldn’t get out. I was the wicket keeper for most

of the game. I also bowled and I got two people

out who usually never get out. I got to bat for the

last 3 overs. At the end, they took us to the nets to

watch us bowling and batting. Then were told who

was selected in the team.” Jaiden Cooper, Year 6.

7 Tech Chickens The students in 7 Tech 4 were thrilled to visit the

Ag plot a couple of weeks ago. The group are

investigating how eggs are produced

commercially and the packaging and marketing of

these eggs. They were lucky enough to play with

freshly-hatched chicks.
