Newport News Grand Opening
VPMIA Award Ceremony
On April 5, 2018 The Virginia Plumbing and Mechanical
Inspectors’ Association honored Keith Coughlin and the
Joyce Agency with The VPMIA Outstanding Associate
Service Award at their annual Banquet. VPMIA and The
Joyce Agency have partnered, under Keith’s leadership, in
providing monthly training opportunities at our Chantilly
Office by registering those classes with the International
Code Council to provide attendees with CEUs to apply to
their tradesman and inspector licensure.
In 2018, under Keith’s leadership, this program is expanding
to include The Joyce Agency office in Newport News. Keith
has also conducted educational trainings for VPMIA and
VBCOA memberships. VPMIA, The Joyce Agency, and Keith
all share a deep commitment to education and training and
the Joyce Agency is proud of Keith for receiving this honor.

ICC Military Families Career Path Program
The International Code Council’s Military Families Career Path Program helps veterans who are transitioning to civilian life and their family members learn more about building safety career options. We are grateful for the sacrifices the service members and their families have made to keep us safe and are committed to ensuring their success after service.
Code official positions fall into three main categories: plans examiners, inspectors and administrators. Each of these three areas encompass a number of different job titles and descriptions. The ICC Learning Center offers a variety of trainings for those new to the field as well as continuing education for experienced code officials. Visit learn.iccsafe.org for details. Watts Drainage Products Group is changing to a new, improved closet carrier gasket with an adhesive backing.
The new gasket with its adhesive backing will aid the plumber in setting and holding the gasket in position during assembly of the carrier, saving time and increasing ease of installation.
The part number change is from the (8151970) CA-1 to (8189338) CA-1N.
The (8151970) CA-1 is being discontinued immediately.
