INTRODUCTION

If your tablet will not turn on even after charging, you may need to replace the battery. Be careful notto severely bend or puncture the battery when you are removing it as it may leak potentiallydangerous chemicals.

Step 1 — Back Case

Make sure your tablet is turned offand not connected to a powersource to prevent personal injury.

The volume rocker and power buttonlocated on the top edge by thecamera are not connected piecesand will become free from the deviceonce the front panel is removedfrom the back case. They are easilyput back in place whenreassembling the tablet.

Position the tablet with the top edgeby the camera facing down.

Insert the plastic opening toolbetween the front panel and backcase at the upper left hand corner ofthe tablet.




Step 2

Slide the plastic opening tool along the edge of the tablet between the front panel and back case.

Repeat this process for the two shorter edges of the tablet leaving the top edge by the camera stillsnapped in place.

Step 3

Using an unfolding motion along thetop edge of the tablet, carefullyseparate the front panel from theback case.




Step 4 — Battery

Using the plastic opening tool, lift upthe black retaining flap that securesthe ZIF (zero insertion force) ribbonconnector over the battery to themotherboard.

Step 5

Pull the ZIF (zero insertion force)ribbon connector out fromunderneath the black retaining flap.




Step 6

Using the plastic opening tool, remove the black tape that secures the battery to the front panel.

Repeat this process for the black tape securing the other side of the battery to the front panel.

Step 7

Desoldering can cause fumes thatare dangerous to breathe in, andmaterials may be hot.

Desolder the three joints connectingthe red, black, and white wires fromthe battery to the motherboard.

Step 8

Insert the plastic opening toolbetween the battery and the frontpanel in the middle of the batterypack.




The battery is now free rom the device and can be replaced. To reassemble your device, follow theseinstructions in reverse order.

Step 9

Be careful not to severely bend thebattery or puncture it as it may leakpotentially dangerous chemicals.Edit: THE BATTERY CANEXPLODE AFTER THE LEAK OFFUMES. IF IN ANY KIND OFCONTACT WITH WATER, FROMINSIDE OF BATTERY, THEBATTERY WILL CATCH ONCOLOURED FLAME. YES,COLOURED FLAME. IT’S A GOODEXPERIMENT BUT ONLY INADULT SUPERVISION ANDSAFETY

Using the plastic opening tool, prythe battery from the front panel untilthere is room to peel it off with yourhand.

The battery is stuck on to the frontpanel with adhesive tape, so don'tbe afraid to use slight force whenremoving it.
