INSPECTOR GADGET (1999) A dog(!) and Michelle Trachtenberg bop their heads to “All Star” while eating Skittles in Inspector Gadget's purple-cushioned Gadgetmobile. If only she had pressed the Surge soda button on the dash… MYSTERY MEN (1999) This is where it truly all started. Sure, you could just watch the beginning of the “All Star” music video and get your fill of Mystery Men, but why not sit through two hours of a fun cast doing bad comedy? DIGIMON: THE MOVIE (2000) This entire soundtrack is a headbanger, especially the Digimon theme (and “All Star” by Smash Mouth). GO TIGERS! (2001) Full disclosure, I'm not into anything with football even if this documentary is only marginally about it. Someone please watch this and tell me how “All Star” is used. SHREK (2001) There's no denying this has become the quintessential movie for “All Star.” I was once in a crowd that chanted "Shrek" at Smash Mouth until they played this song. I was also once on stage with Steve from Smash Mouth while he (we?) sang this song, but I digress. RAT RACE (2001) Make sure to invite a bunch of friends to watch this one with you and wait for them to call you a troll when the entire movie ends up being an elaborate set up for a Smash Mouth concert.
