Create fillets

Steps to Fillets:

• Select Fillets from the

Fillets icon located in the

Ribbon in Geometry Tab

• Click and drag such to

select all the edges of the

model

Create Fillets

Steps to Fillets:

Fillets around the holes are not needed.

• Thus, Hold Ctrl and deselect the 4 edges around the 2 Holes.

• Click fillet all ( Similar process for any chamfer required)

Create Fasteners

Steps to Create Fasteners:

• Select Fasteners located in the

Ribbon in Structure Tab

• Select the two inner cylindrical

faces of the holes

• Click Fasten All

Create Fasteners

Steps to Create Fasteners:

• Select the Fastener 2 in the Model

Browser

• Click enable Pretension

• Enter 5000 N for the force

• Select the face as shown

• Enter 1N for the Force

Steps to run Analysis:

• Let the element size be default 4.8578 mm

• Select Faster for Speed/Accuracy

• Verify that Sliding Only has been selected for

the Contacts

• Click Run
