OVERVIEW Inspired to Learn (ITL) is the exclusive Sears Hometown & Outlet Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers and manages online learning. Once registered for Inspired to Learn, store employees gain access to the Learner Center containing their profile, courses and transcripts. NAVIGATING THE LEARNER CENTER Once you have logged into Inspired to Learn, you will be taken to the Learner Center. The Learner Center is your one‐stop shop for all of your learning needs and provides you with a list of courses or curriculums that needs to be completed.
To navigate to your active courses, complete the following steps:
1. Click My Courses.
A quiz can be designed for a specific learning activity, course or entire curriculum. The number of user attempts granted and passing requirements are based on the course. Courses with a quiz require you to complete all learning activities before taking the quiz.
Quiz
A learning activity is part of a course. Each course description lists the learning activities found in that particular course. Learning activities can include: job aids, videos, lessons, hands‐on practice activities or role play.
Learning Activity
A course consists of one or more learning activities. It is important to complete all lessons within the course to receive completion credit.
Course
A group of courses make up a curriculum. All the courses in the curriculum need to be completed before the status of the curriculum is marked as “Complete.”

3. Click the drop-down arrow next to Course Status.
4. Check the boxes next to Not Started, In Progress and Fail.

6a. Not Started courses are marked with a grey circle.
6b. In Progress courses are marked with a half green circle.
6c. Failed courses are marked with a red circle.
7. To view the course description, click View Details next to the course’s name.
COMPLETING A COURSE It is very important to follow the Learning Plan, and read through all of the learning activities. After completing a course
or learning activity, take the time to practice what you have learned by asking a co‐worker or buddy to help. To
complete a course, complete the following steps:
1. Click Launch Course next to the course’s name.

3. Once you complete the learning activity, click the Next button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Repeat this step for each learning activity.
4. Once you reach the quiz, click the Start button.

6. Click the Next button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Repeat steps 5-6 for each question.
7. Once you have answered all the questions, click Submit Exam.
8. When asked if you would like to proceed, click OK.
9. Your exam results will display. If you did not pass the exam, click Take Exam Again. If you passed the exam, click
Finish.

GOOGLE CHROME
To clear your browser’s cache/history in Google Chrome, complete the following steps:
1. Click the three dashes in the top-right corner.
2. Click History.
3. Click Clear browsing data...
4. Check the following boxes: Browsing history
Download history
Cookies and other site and plug-in data
Cached images and files
5. Click Clear browsing data.

To clear your browser’s cache/history in Internet Explorer, complete the following steps:
1. Click on the gear wheel icon in the top-right corner.
2. Hoover over Safety.
3. Click Delete Browsing History.
4. Check the following boxes: Preserve Favorites Website Data
Temporary Internet Files and Website Files
Cookies and Website Data
History
5. Click Delete.

4. Under Pop-ups, check the Allow all sites to show pop-ups box.

3. Under the Privacy tab, uncheck the Turn on Prop-up Blocker box. 4. Click OK.
