  • Accor’s Executive Leadership Program is a two year accelerated development program designed to build and develop the capability of high potential individuals towards future leadership roles within Accor.

    Launched in January 1994, and formerly known as the Vivier National Management Trainee Program, the program forms a significant part of Accor’s talent management and succession planning strategy.

    A tailored approach has seen a number of executive leaders emerge from the program and have continued success within their careers at Accor.

    Whether you aspire to becoming a General Manager or an Executive Specialist, our program will really accelerate your journey.

    Program Scope:

    Two year accelerated development program

    Placements are hosted by a variety of hotels within our national portfolio. You will visit a minimum of two destinations (either CBD or regional) which may include 2 or more host hotels

    Position reports to the Hotel General Manager with mentoring from Vice President of Operations within the placement region

    A minimum of 2 Professional Development Workshops per year in Sydney, supported by Academie Accor

  • eligibility CriteriA • A hospitality/tourism degree,

    or 2 years experience within a leadership role

    • The ability to adapt quickly to new surroundings

    • An aptitude for learning

    • The ability to take initiative and drive your own learning outcomes

    • A passion to lead and inspire others

    • The ability to move interstate during the program

    • Applicants must be either an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia to be eligible

  • • Reasonable relocation funds provided for each move (between $3,000 – $5,000)

    • Travel costs reimbursed for both participant and partner

    • 1 weeks salary provided as a “settling in” allowance (applicable only if required to relocate)

    • Accor will support the participant’s partner in finding employment within our hotels during the period of each placement if desired

    Academie Accor is part of over 17 campuses globally, and supports the business through building the capability of our talent. Accor places an extremely high priority on the development of our employees, and is committed to ensuring that every individual has access to broaden their skills, knowledge and understanding.

    Our learning solutions are varied, and include face to face sessions, on-line, peer to peer learning circles, coaching, virtual sessions and webinars. Our on-boarding program for new employees is exciting and vibrant, as we share our passion for hospitality and human connections with every employee, in every hotel on their very first day.

    Employees are immersed into our service ethos, called “People-ology”, right from the recruitment and selection stage, this passion and commitment to the guest experience is threaded through everything that we do.     Each successful participant that commences AELP will have a unique Personal Development Plan (PDP). A PDP highlights an individual’s areas for competency development and focuses on building leadership capability, self awareness and understanding of the organisation. The Accor Executive Leadership Program aims to fast-track participants, and as such, the PDP is designed to really stretch their capability.

    The Academie Team support the learning and development of each participant in the program, our experienced specialists support participants in accessing products that stretch their thinking, increase their knowledge, challenge perceptions and encourage network learning from other peers.
