Important points to note!In order for the stove to function properly, the following rules must be followed.

• Thestoveneedsairinordertofunction,neverclosethesupplyairventtothehouse. Notethattheremustbeatleastoneairsupplyventilatorintheroomwherethestoveislocated.

• Theroomtemperaturemustexceed5˚Cforthethermostattowork.

• Yourinstallermustadjustthestoveinconnectionwithcommissioningandfillinthevaluesinthewarranty/proofofinstallationattheendoftheseuserinstructions.

• Thestoreshouldbeemptiedperiodicallyandthesawdustremovedusingavacuumcleaner. Alsotestthesafetyswitchbyunlockingoneofthefillerhatchesorthedoorduringoperation orstart-up.Thepelletfeedershouldthenbestopped.

• Werecommendremovingtheashdailyduringthefiringseason,oreachtimepelletsarefilled.Removeashthroughthedoorusingthehandlesupplied.Liftouttheburnerfromtheburnerhousingandremoveanyashfromtheashbox(unburnedpelletsmustnotbeemptiedinto theashbox,thereisariskofthemstartingtosmoulder).

• Afteraperiodofoperationtheglassinthedoorbecomescoatedwithashdustandeventuallybecomesopaque.Itshouldbewipedofffromtheinsideusingkitchenrollmoistenedwith normaltapwater,werecommendthatthisisdoneeachtimethepelletsstoreisfilled. (Waituntiltheglasshascooled).Ifthepaneofglassbecomesblackand/ordifficulttoclean,seesection 3.6.1.

• Vacuumunderthetoppanel’ssoothatchoncebetweenvisitsbythechimneysweep,the sweepnormallycomestwiceayear.

• Sweepyourstoveonceaweekduringthefiringseason.Sweepingiseasilydonebyreleasingandpullingthesootrakesbackwardsandforwardsafewtimes.Slidetheminandsecurethemagain.

• Vacuumtheinsideofthestoveannuallytokeepthefansclean.Seesection3.5.

• IfyouhaveinstalledKMPDraft,ashmustberemovedfromitatleastonceeveryfiringseason.

NOTE!Whenyoustartyourstoveforthefirsttimetheremaybeaslightsmellofpaint,thisis becausethepaintonthestovebodymustcurefullybeforeonecanobtainodourfreeoperation.

1 Product description 1.1 General

Thestovehasbeendevelopedtoworkasaprimaryheatsource.Thestove’shighlevelofefficiency,incombinationwithautomaticoperation,meansthatthestovereplacesupto80%oftheheatinginanormalfamilyhousewithelectricityasheatingsource.Thestoveisdesignedforfiringwithwoodpelletsandrequiresanelectricalpowersupply.Intheeventofapowerfailure,thestoverequirespowerfromanotherpowersource(optionalextra).

Theintegratedconvectionfandistributesthehotairaroundthehouse,forbesteffectthestoveshouldbecentrallylocatedonthelowerfloorofthehouse.Theroomtemperatureiseasilysetfromthecontrolpanel.Duringthermostaticoperationthestoveisignitedandextinguishedautomatically.

Pelletsarefilledthroughtwohatchesonthetopofthestove.Thefillerhatchesanddoorareequippedwithsafetyswitches.Threesafetythermostatsaremountedtogetherwiththeswitchesinasafetycoiltopreventoverheating.

Connectiontothechimneycanbeeitherupwardsortothereverse.



1.2 Components

Thetop(1)lieslooseontopofthestove,withtwoguidelugsorislockedwithquick releaselocks.Thetopisliftedtoaccessthecleaninghatch(2).Whenthereisahatchit isopenedbyremovingthefourscrews,onecanthensweeptheflue(3)andthesmoke tubes(4). Thefluecaneasilybeturnedthrough90˚,whichmakesitpossibletoconnectittothechimneyverticallyorhorizontally.

Thefront(5)canbeopened.Thisishowoneaccessesthesootscrapers(6).These(four perhandle)canbeslidforwardsandbackwards,andscrapeoffthesootbetweenthe smoketubes.Thedoor(7)isopenedwiththehandlesuppliedandcanbeswunguponitstwoadjustablehinges.Theburnerhousing(8)islocatedinthehearthandisaccessible whenthedoorhasbeenopened.Itisinstalledwithfourscrewsontherearofthestovebody. Theburner(9)sitslooseintheburnerhousing.Thefiringelement(10)islocatedintheburnerhousingbehindtheburner.Itisthefiringelementthatgivesofftheheatrequiredtoignitethepellets.Theflamesensor(11)isbesidetheignitionunitandindicatesifthereisflameintheburnerornot.Theashbox(12)isinsetinthebottomofthehearthundertheburnerhousing.Itcanberemovedwhenthedoorhasbeenopened.

Thecombustionfan(13)isplacedontherearoftheburnerhousingandprovidestheburnerwithairforcombustion.Thecontrolcircuitboard(15)isplacedinsidethestoveandcontainsatransformerfor12V-voltagetotheelectronicsandcontrolandsupervision.Thehotairfan(16)islocatedinsidethestoveandsucksairfromtherearofthestove,whichisthenheatedupinthesmoketubesandexpelledthroughtheholesinthefront.

Thepellethopper(17)hasspacefor38litresofpellets,andisfilledthroughthefillerhatches(18).Thereisahatchoneachside,sothatonecanplacethestoveinacornerifonesowishes.Thepelletfeeder(19)isbelowthepellethopperandconsistsofarotatingcylinderwithaspiralspringthatslowlyturnsatthebottomofthehopperandpreventsblockages.Thepatenteddesignmeansthatpelletscannotstickinthefeeder.Safetythermostats(20) arelocatedonthe:

1.fallpipefromthepelletfeeder(85˚C),

2.thepelletfeederfrontwall(85˚C)and

3.theflue(204˚C)

1.5 Safety system

Thestoveisequippedwithfiveindependentsafetysystems.

1. Thefeederreleasesthepelletsfromachute,whichseparatestheburnerfrom the fuel store.

2. Thepellethopperisequippedwithtightfittingfillerhatches.Thehatchesmustbeclosedandlockedduringoperation,assoonasoneofthehatchesisopenedthefuelfeedisinterruptedandwarningtextisshownonthedisplay.

3. Threethermostatsarelocatedasshowninsection1.2Components(fig1).Ifthemaximumpermittedtemperatureisexceededthefeederstops,thestoveswitchesitselfoffandthedisplayshows“Operationalstoppage”.Thealarmmustbeconfirmedbypressingabutton.Donotforgettorectifythecauseoftheoperationalstoppage.Seesection3.6.1.

4. Aflamesensorthatdetectsflamesislocatedintheburnerhousing(fig1).

5. Thedoorisequippedwithasafetyswitch.

Thesettingsaremadeinthecontrolpanelinamenusystem.Beforeenteringthe menuthepanelisindisplaymode.Enterthemenubypressingthedial. Ifthemenuisinactiveforalongtimethepanelreturnstodisplaymode. Themenusystemconsistsofamainmenuandsub-menus“Usermenu”and“Settings”.Inaddition,therearemenusonlyintendedforauthorisedinstallers. 2 Installation 2.1 Positioning

Thestoveshouldbelocatedinacentralpositiononthelowerfloorofthehousetofacilitateheatspread.

TheBuildingregulationscontainanumberofregulationstopreventfires. Generallyspeaking,theregulationsareappliedifthefollowingisbeingobserved:

• Thestovemustbeplacedatleast100mmfromthewall.

• Theunderlaymustbemadeofnon-flammablematerial,andextendatleast300mmtothefrontand100mmtothesideofthestove.Ifthehearthsurfaceismadeofsteelitmustbeatleast0.7mmthick.

• Flammablematerialmustnotbeexposedtotemperaturesexceeding80˚C.

Tofacilitateservicingandcleaning,leavespaceoneachsideofthestove.Theweightofthestoveissolowthatnoextrademandsaremadeonthejoistsetc.

2.2 Chimney

TheregulationsregardingchimneyscanbefoundintheBuildingregulations.

Observethefollowing:

• Thehighestsurfacetemperatureoftheflueincludinginsulationandsurroundingshaftmaybe100˚Cwhenthestoveisrunningatfulloutput.Thesurfacetemperatureof adjacentbuildingpartsmaynotexceed80˚C.

• Minimumdiameter(roundduct)orside(rectangularduct)shouldbe80mm.

• Thesmokeductsmustbemadeofnon-flammablematerialofsufficientdurabilityandwithsufficientresistancetotemperaturevariations,climateeffects,corrosivesmoke gasesandslaganduseofsweepingtoolsetc.

• Itmustbepossibletocleantheflue.Iffallenashcannotberemovedviathestove’s cleaninghatchanothercleaninghatchmustbearranged.Thecleaninghatchmustnot belocatedinaroomotherthantheoneinwhichthestoveislocated.

• Connectiontothechimneymustbeviaasteelfluepipeofatleast2mmthickness, orminimum1mmthicknessifstainlesssteel.Thejointissealedwithhardpacked glassfibreorelasticsealingcompoundthatcantolerateatleast250˚C.

• Allpartsofthechimneysituatedoutdoorsmustbeinsulated.

Thesmokegasescontainwatervapourthatcancondensetowaterifthetemperatureis sufficientlylow(approx55°C)whichcancausedamagebothtothechimneyandstove. Thetemperature1mbelowthechimneytopmustbeatleast60˚C.

3 Operation and maintenanceThestoveisdesignedforalongservicelife,motorsandothermovingpartsareofaveryhighquality.Allbearingsarelifetimelubricatedandtheonlypreventativemaintenancethatisnormallyrequiredissweepingandcleaning

3.1 Fuel

Thestovemustbelitwithwoodpellets,6or8mm,class1accordingtoSwedishstandard.Thepelletsaresuppliedinplasticsacksthatcanbestackedonpalletsorothersuitablesurfac-es.Avoidexposingthesackstomoistureormechanicalstresses(vibrationsorblows).Carelesshandlingofpelletscaneasilyreducethemtosawdust,whichcancausefeedandcombustionproblems.Fillthehopperwithpelletsslowlyandwithouttoogreatadrop.Thestoreshouldbeemptiedperiodicallyandthesawdustremovedusingavacuumcleaner.

Thehopperisfilledbyopeningthehatchesabovethepelletmagazine. Thedifferentstovemodelshavedifferenttypesofhatches.Wherethereisaknobthehatchisopenedbyturningtheknoba1/4turnanti-clockwise.Tofullyfillthemagazineonehastoopentheotherhatch.Thehoppercanbefilledwhilethestoveisrunning,butbecausethefeederswitchesoffwhenthehatchesareopened,youonlyhaveafewminutesbeforethehatchmustbelockedagain.Ifthehatchisopenforlonger,theflameislikelytogetsolowthatthestovewillswitchitselfoff,afterwhichitmustberestartedagain..

3.2 Ash removal

Theamountofashthatbuildupintheburnervariesdependingpartiallyonhowthestoveisfired(numberofstartsandstops,divisionbetweenfullandhalfspeed),andpartiallyonthequalityofthepellets.Theashcontentvariesbetweendifferentpellets,butcanalsodifferbetweendifferentbatchesfromthesamefactory.Thiscanonlybeestablishedthroughtrialanderror,butgenerallytheashlayerinthebottomshouldbeamaximumofacentimetredeep.Werecommendremovingtheashdailyduringthefiringseason,oreachtimepelletsarefilled.

Removeashthroughthedoorusingthehandlesupplied.Liftouttheburnerfromtheburnerhousingandremoveanyashfromtheashbox.Certainpelletsgenerateahardcakeofcin-ders,thismayneedtobebrokenupusingascrewdriverorremovedusingone’shands.

Ashfromthestovemustbestoredinacontainermadeofnon-flammablematerial,for exampleametalbucket,untilithascooledsufficientlythatitcanbeheldinone’shand. Itcanthenbethrownaway,bearinmindthatwoodashcontainsnutrientsthatcanbe beneficialtogardens.

3.3 The glass

Afteraperiodofoperationtheglassinthedoorbecomescoatedwithashdustand eventuallybecomesopaque.Itshould,therefore,bewipedofffromtheinsideusing kitchenrollmoistenedwithnormaltapwater,werecommendthatthisisdoneeach timethepelletsstoreisfilled.Nocleaningagentisusuallynecessary.

Ifthepaneofglassbecomesblackand/ordifficulttoclean,seesection3.6.1.

Whencleaningtheblackpaintedmetalcomponentsonlywaterandincertaincases washingupliquidshouldbeused.



3.4 Sweeping

Thechimneymustbesweptbyachimneysweep,normallytwiceayear. Removethecleaninghatch,underthetopplate/stone(4xAllenscrews).

Theflueandtheareaunderneaththecleaninghatchmustbecleaned atleastoncebetweenthechimneysweep’svisits.Sweepingofthestoveiscarriedoutonceaweekduringthefiring seasonusingtheintegratedsootrakes.Theyarelocatedbehind thefrontpanelandmustbepulledbackwardsandforwardsacoupleoftimeseach,startingfromabove.

4.Pullthesootrakes(inpairs)straightout.

5.Thesootrakesaresealedinreverseorder.

3.5 Hot air fan

Vacuumcleaningofthefanswithabrushnozzleshouldbecarriedoutacoupleoftimes annuallyafterremovingthesidehatch.

Do not forget to pull the plug outbeforethesidehatchisremoved.

Thesidehatchissecuredusingtwopanelscrewsthatarevisiblewhenthefillinghatchhasbeenopened.Afterthescrewshavebeenremovedtheuppersectionofthesidehatchispulledstraightoutandhookedontothesidemember.

NOTE! When vacuuming the hot air fan, be careful not to damage the long and vulnerable fan blades.

Thefanbearingscanstarttowhistleafteroperatingforsometimeinadustyenvironment.Rectifythiswithadropofoilonbothbearings.

UsethehandleforthedoortoopenthefrontofKMPMysinge. Slidethehandlediagonallyupwardsandthentotheside(seeabove).

4 Removal 4.1 Burner

1. Openthedoorandremovetheashbox.

2. Removethefourscrewsholdingtheburnerflangetothestovewall(fig10).

3. Pulltheburnerstraightoutuntilthecablesconnectingtheburnertothecontrolcircuitboardarevisible.Pullthetwoconnectorsapart.Theburnercannowberemoved.

4. Reinstallinreverseorder.

4.2 Firing element

1. Removetheburnerasabove.

2. Removethefourscrews(1)holdingtheupperpartoftheignitionbracket. Thefiringelementisnowfree.

3. Disconnectthefiringelement’scablesfromthetriaccontrolandtheterminalblock.

4. Slackenoffthescrew(3)thatsecuresthefiringelement.Removethefiringsleevefromtheelement.Pulloutthecablesfromthelead-ins.

Workisbestcarriedoutwithbothsidehatchesremoved,buttheycanalsobeaccessed from one side or the other.

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. Openthetopandslackenoffthetwopanelscrewsontheupperedgeofthesidehatch.

3. Pulltheuppersectionofthehatchstraightoutandthenliftupthepanelsothatitisfree.

4. Disconnectthecablesfromthefanbypullingtheplasticcoveredflatpinsleevesfrom the motor.

5. Removethescrewsthatholdthefanbracketstothestovebody(2x).


4.6 Control circuit board

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. RemoveoneofthesidehatchesaccordingtotheHotairfansection.

3. Removetheedgeconnectorsonthelongsidesofthecontrolcircuitboardbypullingthemstraightoutfromthecircuitboard.

4. Disconnectthecableforthecontrolpanellocatedinaconnectorononeedgeofthe controlcircuitboard.Pressinthehookontheundersideoftheconnectorandpullthecablestraightouttotheside.

5. Releasethethreepanelscrewsontherearofthestoveandremovethecontrol circuitboard.
