Ceiling height must be a minimumof 9 feet.

The location of a ceiling fan andhow the fan is attached to the build-ing structure are essential for reli-able operation, maximum effi-ciency, and energy savings. For thisreason, we have included a sepa-rate booklet — “Guide to Choos-ing and Preparing a Ceiling Fan

STEP 1 - GETTING READYSTEP 1 - GETTING READYSTEP 1 - GETTING READYSTEP 1 - GETTING READYSTEP 1 - GETTING READYSite” — to help you select the bestlocation for your fan. The bookletalso provides information to ensureyour fan support and electric out-let box meet UL-approved safetycodes for ceiling fans.

The instructions in this installationmanual assume that you have used“Guide to Choosing and Preparinga Ceiling Fan Site” to pick the fanlocation and make certain the properfan support and outlet box are in-stalled.

fan.

2. Refer to the STEP 9 - REMOTECONTROL, for operation.

3. Ceiling fans work best by blow-ing air downward (counterclock-wise blade rotation) in warmweather to cool the room with adirect breeze. In winter, havingthe fan draw air upward (clock-wise blade rotation) will distrib-ute the warmer air trapped at theceiling around the room withoutcausing a draft.

4. If your fan wobbles when oper-ating, use the enclosed balancingkit and instructions to balance thefan.
