Welcome to MDBG Chinese Reader.

Welcome to MDBG Chinese Reader, the first tool that helps you

understand and learn Chinese while you use it. Point your mouse

at Chinese text and the LiveScan window shows the meaning in

English, enlarged Chinese (simplified and traditional) and

phonetics (Pinyin and Bopomofo).

From the Main window, Lookup any word in MDBG CC-CEDICT,

the world’s most popular Chinese-English dictionary. Using

English or Chinese words, Chinese Reader displays all the

matching entries from its 105,000+ entry dictionary.

Download and install MDBG Chinese Reader 7 for your Windows PC.

To install MDBG Chinese Reader:

A. Download MDBG Chinese Reader software

B. Depending on your browser, click Run or Save File

C. Double-click to install

D. Follow the on-screen instructions

E. Re-start your computer after installation is completed

MDBG Chinese Reader includes a powerful wizard that gives you

new options during installation.

A. Choose from these accessories:

• Unified Chinese Fonts (recommended)

• Premium Chinese Voices (optional)

• Simplified Chinese Voice (optional)

B. You may install Chinese Reader for multiple users on the same

computer:

• Anyone who uses this computer (all users)

• Only for me (current user)

Tip After installation, you may change (add or remove accessories)

from the Windows Control Panel by re-running the Installation Wizard.

See Uninstall section of this guide.

Start the program by double-clicking the MDBG Chinese

Reader program icon from your Windows desktop

To activate your software:

A. From the Chinese Reader main window, choose Help >

License Manager

B. From your MDBG License Key email, copy (Ctrl+C) the key

C. Paste (Ctrl+V) the license key into the License Manager

and press Submit. After your license is activated, press

It’s easy to uninstall MDBG Chinese Reader 7:

1. From the Windows Control Panel, choose MDBG Chinese

Reader 7

2. Click Uninstall

3. From the Installation Wizard, choose Uninstall and click

OK
