5. Position the Bottom Support Brackets over the Tube Spacers. Use the included (2) 8mm x 40mm Hex Head Bolts, (2) 8mm x 24mm Flat Washers and (2) 8mm Lock Washers to attach the Bottom Support Brackets to the front bumper, (Figure 6). Do not tighten hardware at this time.

6. Open the hood and locate the factory hole on each side of the radiator support, (Figure 7). Remove the screw securing the grille to the radiator support. Place the driver side Top Support Bracket up to the factory hole and reinstall the screw through the bottom oval slot in the Top Support Bracket. Leave loose at this time.

7. Insert one of the 8mm Bolt Plates into the factory hole through the back of the radiator support, (Figure 8). Insert 2-3 8mm x 16mm Flat Washers as a spacer between the radiator support and the Top Support Bracket. NOTE: It may be necessary to gently push down on the top of the plastic grille to provide clearance for the flat washers/spacers. Secure the Top Support Bracket to the Bolt Plate using (1) 8mm x 16mm Flat Washer, (1) 8mm Lock Washer and (1) 8mm Hex Nut, (Figure 9). Repeat Steps 6-7 to install the passenger side Top Support Bracket.

8. With assistance, position the Grille Guard face down on a clean surface in front of the vehicle. Move the mountings tabs on the Grill Guard up to the outside of the Frame Mounting Brackets. Line up the rear-most holes in the Mounting Brackets with the Grille Guard. Insert (1) 12mm x 35mm Hex Head Bolt, (1) 12mm Lock Washer, (2) 12mm Flat Washers, and (1) 12mm Hex Nut into each of the rear mounting holes to act as a hinge and rotate the Grille Guard up into position, (Figure 10). Install the 12mm hardware into the remaining (4) mounting locations. Do not tighten hardware at this time.

9. Partially attach the Grille Guard to the Bottom Support Bracket using the included (2) 10mm x 25mm Button Head Bolts, (4) 10mm Flat Washers and (2) 10mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Figure 11). Proceed to attach the Grille Guard to the Top Support Brackets using the included (2) 8mm x 20mm Button Head Bolts, (4) 8mm x 16mm Flat Washers and (2) 8mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Figure 12).

10. Align Grille Guard properly and tighten all hardware at this time. 11. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

Optional drilling instructions

12. Once you have the Grille Guard installed, use the second hole, (unused up to this point), in the Frame Mounting Bracket as a template to mark the drilling location on the frame rail, (Figure 13).

13. Remove the Grille Guard, Frame Brackets and 12mm Bolt and Nut Plates from the vehicle. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove Bottom or Top Support Brackets from the vehicle.

14. Use a 1/2” drill bit to drill out the marked location, (Figure 14). IMPORTANT: Any cutting or drilling tool may break or shatter. Government regulations require safety glasses & equipment at all times when cutting or drilling.

15. Repeat steps 2-10 to re-install the Grille Guard onto the vehicle. NOTE: Rotate the 12mm Bolt and Nut Plate to line up the drilled hole with the threaded Nut. Use the included (2) 12mm x 35mm Hex Head Bolts, (2) 12mm Lock Washers, and (2) 12mm Flat Washers to secure the Frame Brackets to the 12mm x 35mm Bolt and Nut Plate, (Figure 15).

16. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish.
