All rough-in and spacing dimensions must be metfor safe use of your range. Electricity to the rangecan be disconnected at the outlet without movingthe range ff the outlet is in the preferred location(remove lower drawer).

To reduce the risk of bums or fire when reachingover hot surface elements, cabinet storage spaceabove the cooktop should be avoided, ff cabinetstorage space is to be provided above the cooktop,the risk can be reduced by installing a range hoodthat sticks out at least 5" beyond the front of thecabinets. Cabinets installed above a cooktop maybe no deeper than 13".

Be sure your appliance is properly installed andgrounded by a quafified technician.

TOOLS NEEDED: Phillips head screwdriver and1 3/8" open end or adjustable wrench

Bracket attaches to floor or wall to hold either rightor left rear leg leveler. If fastening to floor, be surethat screws do not penetrate electrical wiring orplumbing. If this cannot be determined, use shorterscrews that will not penetrate through flooring.

If the bracket came with your range, it is shippedinside the prepack found in the oven. Remove anddiscard the shipping screw that holds the bracketand then follow instructions below.

11.Decide whether the bracket will be installed on

the right or left side of range location.

2. If the bracket side of the range is adjacent to acabinet, place the bracket against back walland cabinet as shown in Figure 1.

If there is no adjacent cabinet, determine wherethe location of the range side (painted outsidepanel) will be. Place the bracket with its outsideedge at this location and against back wall. SeeFigure I.

3, Determine whether you will anchor the bracketto the floor or wal!. Fasten the bracket securelywith the screws provided. Screws are self-drilling in wood, plywood, particle and chipboard, and most metal framing. If attaching tomasonry you can buy suitable screws andanchors at hardware stores. Use a masonrydrill to drill the required holes.

4. Slide the range into place. Be sure rear legleveler fully engages slot in bracket. If rangecannot be moved back far enough for rear legleveler to enter bracket, move bracket forwardas required and attach to floor in new location.

5. ff appliance is removed for cleaning or anyother reason, check to make sure bracket is re-engaged. A risk of the range tipping over mayresult from abnormal usage, including excessloading of oven door, if the bracket is not re-engaged properly.

• Remove all tape and packaging. Remove clearplastic film that covers some parts (around glassoven doors, side trim) and any tape or packagingfrom inside the oven.

• Remove the accessory pack from the oven.

• Check to see if any range parts have come looseduring shipping.

This appliance must be supplied with the propervoltage and frequency, and connected to anindividual, properly grounded branch circuit,protected by a circuit breaker or time delay fuse,as noted on rating plate.

Wiring must conform to National Electrical Codes.If the electric service provided does not meet theabove specifications, call a licensed electrician.

Effective January 1, 1996, the National ElectricalCode requires that new or rewired constructionutilize a 4- conductor connection to an electric

range. When installing an electric range in a newconstruction, follow the instructions in NEWCONSTRUCTION AND FOUR-CONDUCTORBRANCH CIRCUIT CONNECTION.

If you fall to wire your range in accordance withgoverning codes, you may create a hazardouscondition.

You must use a three-wire, single-phase AC I20/240Volt or 208Y/120 Volt, 60 Hertz electrical system tooperate your range.

Use #8 gauge wire and 40 Amp fuse or circuitbreaker for 120/240 Volt and 208 Y/120 Volt systems.

The range connector block is approved for copperwire connection only. ff you are connecting toaluminum house wiring, you must use special ULapproved connectors for joining copperto aluminum.

Remove the junction block access cover (on rangeback). See Fig. 4A or Fig, 4B. Some models willhave a one-piece wire cover as shown in Fig, 4B.When reinstalling the one-piece wire cover, makesure that wire does not become pinched betweenwire cover and mainback.

All new constructions, mobile homes andinstallations where local codes do not allowgrounding through neutral, require a four-wireflexible cord kit. If the range is rated between8, 750 and 16,500 watts, the cord kit must be ratedfor 40 amps-125/250 volts, ff the range is ratedbetween 16,501 and 22,500 watts, the cord kitmust be rated for 50 amps-125/250 volts. Forexisting construction, a three wire flexible cord kitmay be used, and the same ratings apply asdescribed above.

When using a cord kit rated 40 Amps, removethe next to outermost knockout (13/8" diameter)in the connection plate. Likewise, when usinga cordkitrated 50Amps, remove the outermostknockout (1 3/4" diameter) in the plate.

You must use a clamp or strain relief to hold thecord.

• Terminations must be either closed loopterminals or open end spade lugs.

• Remove the screws on the junction blockstuds.

• Remove the ground screw, then remove theground strap. Discard the ground strap afterremoving.

• Install the four-wire cord kit and strain relief inthe hole in the connection plate.

• Attach the green lead below the junction blockwith the ground screw that was removed earlier.

• Connect the red and black leads to the outsideterminals and white lead to the center terminal.

• Push the cord upward (to relieve strain), whiletightening the strain refief clamp.

• Re-install the junction block access covermaking sure that the wire does not becomepinched between wire cover and mainback.

• Remove ground strap.

• Fasten the white wire to the center terminal.

• Usegrounding terminaforfeadtogroundunitinaccordance with local codes.

Before installing the range, you may remove theoven door to lessen the weight of the unit. DO NOTlift unit by door handle.

To remove oven door:

1. Open the door to the stop position. See Fig. 5A.

Todas /as construcciones nuevas, casas mdviles einstalaciones donde los cddigos locales no permitenhacer tierra a tray, s de neutral, requieren un juego decorddn flexible de cuatro alambres. Si ta estufa tieneun valor de entre 8750 y 16500 Watts, et juego delcorddn debe ser de un valor para 40amperes- 125/250Voltios. Si fa estufa tiene un valor de entre 16501 y22500 Watts, el juego del corddn debe ser de un valorpara 50Amperes- 125/250 Vottios. Para construccionesexistentes se puede usar un juego de corddn flexiblede tres afambres, y se aptican los mismos valores quese describen arriba.

Cuando utitice un cable adecuado para resistir 40amperes, quite ta tuerca prdxima a ta mas m_ssobresaliente (1 3/6") de la placa de conexidn. Deigual modo, siva a usar un cable de 50 amperes,quite ta tuerca m_s sobresaliente de la placa (1 3/4de di_metro).

Debe utilizar una abrazadera o roldana de presidnpara sostener el cable.

Quite los tornillos de fas zapatas conectoras de lacaja de conexiones.

Antes de instalar su estufa puede quitar las puertas delhomo para disminuir el peso de la unidad. NO tevantela unidad tom_ndota de la manitfa de ta puerta.

Para quitar la puerta del homo:
