STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONSStinger Freedom Laser comprises a User Interface (LED or Strip), a Laser Center and at least one Laser Receiver. Laser Transmitters, and more Laser Receivers are optional. In order to ensure optimal performance, the Lasers must be correctly installed.
For installation advice, please contact your local distributor or Stinger directly at:+31 252 41 49 50

1. Correctly placing the Lasers
Front of the carPlace the Laser(s) in the grill, bumper or spoiler facing outwards. Make sure the lasers are mounted flush. In case of a single Laser Receiver (or a combination of a single Receiver and single Transmitter) make sure it is placed in the center of (the front of) the car laterally, at a height that is between the levels of the license plate area and the headlight units. For more complete coverage of the entire front of the car, we recommended three Receivers (optionally combined with three Transmitters). In this case, make sure one Receiver (or a combination of one Receiver and one Transmitter) is placed in the center front of the car, near the license plate (area). Additionally, one Receiver (or set of one Receiver and one Transmitter) needs to be placed close by each headlight unit. Preferably on the sides of the headlights that are nearest to the center of the car, or directly underneath the headlights.
Rear of the carA single Receiver (or the combination of one Receiver and one Transmitter) for rear protection should be placed as close as possible to the license plate, but can usually also be placed in the (horizontal) center of the car under the rear bumper or spoiler. Additional Lasers may be placed closer to the outsides.

2. Placing the Strip or LED + buttonPlace the Strip or LED and button at a convenient location for the driver both to see and control.• The strip can be placed either horizontally or vertically. If
placed horizontally, make sure the + on the sticker is to the right (or the cable on the back is on top).
• Connect the Single LED + button to the C2 port of the Laser Center.
• Connect the Strip to the C1 port of the Laser Center.
3. Connecting the Lasers to the Laser CenterConnect the Laser Receivers (Square) to the Mini USB Receiver ports ( ) of the Laser Center, starting with port R1. For optimal performance, any additional Receivers need to be connected in sequential order to ports R2, R3 and so forth. Connect the Laser Transmitters (Square or Fiber) to the Micro USB Transmitter ports ( ) of the Laser Center, starting with port T1. Any additional Transmitters need to be connected in sequential order to ports T2, T3 and so forth.
Connect the Side Lasers (Fiber) to the Micro USB Side ports ( ) of the Laser Center: Side1 and Side2.
4. Power plug• Connect the black wire to a ‘clean’ metal ground-point
of the car chassis, or directly to the negative pole of the car battery
• Connect the orange wire to the ignition-actuated 13.8V battery power (+15).
• Connect the red wire directly to the (continuous) 13.8V battery power (+30).
5. GPS AntennaPlace the antenna on the dashboard. If the car has a heat-repelling windshield, it is better to place the antenna outside the cabin of the car, for instance in a space at the top end of the hood.• Connect the cable of the antenna to the GPS port of the
Laser Center.
6. Placing the Laser CenterThe Laser Center must be placed in a moisture-free location such as in or under the dashboard.Mount the Laser Center with e.g. tie-wraps or Velcro.
