Installing of a VAULT server
Few recommendations:
• The Vault Server can be any dedicated server or normal PC operatingunder Windows 2003 server or Windows XP Pro (2003 is used at CRAL)• The server will use only internally and controls the interface with Advitium.• It will be strongly recommend that the content of the vault server is backed-up regularly (best on a per day basis). Redundant RAID hard disks can also be used additionally.•The service “IIS” of windows must be installed and running.•You must have the administrator login of the server (creation of otheraccounts)
Installing
Click "install products"
“Put the CD N°1 of Inventor 2008 in the server”
Click "Next »
Select the boxes like in the left imageAnd click "Next" again
Click "Next »
Select standards as in the picture on the right.
And select « I accept » , Click next
Inform the fields. Click next
Click « Install »
Click "finish"
Click "finish"
Click "next"
Parametering of server1. creating of Vault
Start "ADMS console 2008" Connecting as Administrator (to the first installing, the connection is made without default password)Select “OK” like below
Creat a vault
Give a name and location:
2. Creating users accounts.Note: This can be made from any client, using Vault Explorer.
Select administration Then choose the tag "Security"
Click « Users »
Note: It's essential to create a account "Advitium_System" with the password following "vaultconnector". And to assign to this user, the roles and the vault previously created.
Don't forget to check the box for the active file in the vault. (Like MUSE in the window)
Concerning the user " Advitium_System " please select all boxes like this windows..Note that for all others accounts, You should select only the last three boxes. Editor of the vault. Publisher of central content, and, user of the vault.Warning: the accounts of users who must work with Vault will use the same login and the same password that for Advitium.
3. Installing client.
Click « next »
The name does not matterClick « next » again.
Click « next », again
Click « next », always
Then Click « Finish », when the connector has bee successfully installed.
4. Replace the file « PropertyMatch.xml » and copy templates
The PropertyMach file is installed by default in the directory below.
We must replace it with the file referenced VLT-TEM-MUS-14670-0012, made available in Advitium . (Take the latest version)
Also: copy the different templates for Inventor, made available in Advitium, in the directory below:
« C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2008\Templates »
5. First use of connector
Start the connector
Inform the name of Advitium server: "bddoc.univ-lyon1.fr”
Inform your login and click “Update”
Select the system (in principle "MUSE")
Please complete information on the server Vault: Vault server = name of your server Vault Vault database = behalf of the Vault (in principle, "MUSE")
Enter then your password and click "OK"
It is possible that a message concerning the paths appears if no files have yet been indexed in Vault. Click on "OK".
5. Options setting of the connector

Check the following options:

6. First use of Vault since Inventor
Start Inventor
Select the server and the Vault, check the box labeled "automatic connection to the next session" Enter login and password.
6. Creating a Vault project (ipj) in Inventor
Click « Creat »
Choose « New project Vault » and click « next »
Inform the file name and modify if necessary paths. Click "Next”
Include if necessary one or more existing library. Click "Finish" If the path does not exist, it will be created:
Click “OK”
7. Prime transfer Vault in the case of a new project.
Select « Vault »
Then select « Add files »
Select « Mapping of files »
Select « Modify »
Select « New File»Inform the file name and click « OK»
Select "File of central content“ and "modify”
Click on “New File”
Check the boxe ”library”, then “OK”
“The files are now ready to be transferred to Vault”
