Installing PointCare on The Galaxy Tab
The process for installing Android is very similar to steps used to download and install Windows
Mobile. The most significant change is Valet is no longer a separate application – Valet, Renew,
Refresh are options available within PointCare’s Command Center.
NOTE: A connection to the internet must be established prior to the first stage. Use a WiFi
Connection when possible
1) Tap the Web icon in the lower left corner.

2) Tap in the white address bar box at the top
of the screen and type in the following
address: www.hchb.com/downloads
3) Tap on the arrow to the right of the Address
Bar, or in some instances tap on GO
4) The HCHB download web page
screen will appear.
5) When the page has loaded, tap on,
“Get Android PointCare Android
2.2 and Greater devices”

6) An icon with a down-facing red
arrow will indicate that the download
is in progress.
7) Tap, hold and drag the ‘Black’ title
bar at the top of the screen, this will
open a new window showing the
status of the download
8) Tapping on the completed
download will launch the PointCare
Installer, shown above

9) Once complete you will receive a message:
Application Installed.
NOTE: Completing this step is similar to
completing Valet in Windows Mobile – it is
the beginning of the process.
10) Tap on Open to launch to access the Server
& User
11) Enter the Bayada environment you wish to
connect to.
For Production: Bayada
For Training: BayadaTrn2
12) Enter the Agent ID in the User ID field and
tap on Validate

13) You will be prompted to Allow the
installation of the application – ignore the
alerts and tap Install
14) If the install is successful you will receive
the message: Application Installed

14) For first-time setup, enter a password in
the New Password and Confirm Password
fields.
NOTE: you do not need to enter a password in
the top field
Tap Save
15) Enter the password and Tap Login

16) An error message will be received stating
that: There was a problem with the database.
You will be directed to the maintenance
screen.
Tap Dismiss
17) Tap Renew

18) Tap Yes to confirm you wish to renew the
database
19) The renew process will begin, once all
steps are complete you will receive the
message: Renew successful. Elapsed time: xxx
seconds
Tap Close

20) The PointCare manager screen will be
displayed

21) On the physical device tap on the Menu
key.
The Menu button provides access to sub-
menus and options within Android
applications
22) The sub-menu will provide access to
the Sync button

23) Once you have received the message:
Sync successful. Elapsed Time: xx
seconds tap Close
