1) Preamble
The cademic year 17-18 records another year of impressive achievements by the Institute of Information Technology. The
institute received “FSAI Best College, Pune City” for the contribution made by the institute towards academic involvement
with Fire and Security Association of India, Pune Chapter. Dr. P. B. Mane, Principal, received the “Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
National Award for Best Engineering College Principal” given by Indian Society For Technical Education, New Delhi. He
also received the “Best Principal of the year” from Computer Society of India (CSI). Mr. H. P. Chaudhari, head of
Instrumentation department, received the “IETE – Lal C Verman Award (2017)” from the institution of Electronics and
Telecommunications Engineers (IETE ) for his significant contribution in field of education. Vinit Trinagarwar ,Chaitanya Hemade , Ritesh Dube , Moin Patel ,Haridnya Bandal and Pooja Maind bagged 2nd prize at DIPEX 2018 , Sangli . The
Research and development team of the institute won the Technical Championship - Mind spark 2017 organized by College of
Engineering , Pune for the second time .The institute received grant worth Rs12,67,341/- for arranging seminars, conferences,
workshops, National Service Scheme (NSS),infrastructure development from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (IOIT)-Pune successfully conducted the Personality Development
workshop for more than 100 students on 31st Jan. 2018. This workshop was organized by the Student Development
Organization (SDO) of the college and was sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).This workshop
was coordinated by the Student Development Officer- Mr. Shivaji Gadadhe under the apt guidance of college
Principal-Dr. P. B.Mane. There were 3 eminent speakers namely Mr.M.K.Lokhande, Dr.Sunil Karpe and Mr.Sunil
Patil who conducted sessions on Yoga and Pranayam Rahasya, Positive Thinking and Personality Development
respectively.
d) Disaster Management Workshop: 25000/-Rupees Sanction from SPPU on 20/11/2017
The AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (IOIT)-Pune successfully conducted the Disaster Management
Workshop for more than 100 students on 16th Mar. 2018. This workshop was organized by the Student Development
Organization (SDO) of the college and was sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).This workshop
was coordinated by the Student Development Officer- Mr. Shivaji Gadadhe under the apt guidance of college Principal-Dr. P. B.Mane. A demonstration of all fire safety equipments and practical sessions were conducted by
Mr. Vijay Bhilare- Fire Station Officer and his team.
f) Workshop on: Intellectual Property Rights: 15000/-Rupees Sanction from SPPU on 28/11/2017
AISSMS IOIT (All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology, Pune) has organized
“Two Day Workshop on Intellectual Property Right” for UG/PG students and Research scholars, on 14th and 15th
March, 2018 under the sponsorship of SDO SPPU, Pune. In this workshop 100 students belonging from different
