INTRODUCTION
Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is a professional body for Civil Engineers,
which was founded in the UK and is recognised worldwide. Its aim is to ‘foster and
promote the art and science of civil engineering’. ICE is a qualifying body, a centre for
the exchange of specialist knowledge, and a provider of resources to encourage
innovation and excellence in the profession worldwide.
The formation of an ICE Student Chapter at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur
Campus is an important step in the developing the best professionals at this university.
Initial professional development practice and experience acquired through this student
chapter will prepare members for a career of lifelong learning and continuous
professional development within the ICE locally and internationally.
Establishment of this chapter will facilitate UCSI Civil Engineering students to
become well-rounded, professional engineers. Students will also able to enjoy the
benefits that ICE offers, including access to ICE’s international knowledge network.
The virtual library is an excellent source for engineering solutions and research-based
projects, where students will have the chance to engage with ICE students and graduates
all around the world through the Graduates and Students Network exchanging ideas,
opinions, knowledge and experience.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On the 9th June of 2015, the Institution of Civil Engineers Student Chapter of
UCSI University Kuala Lumpur (ICE-UCSI University) has successfully conducted the
first Annual General Meeting located at classroom K203 of the UCSI University North
Wing Campus.
This marks the first Annual General Meeting since ICE-UCSI University was
established in UCSI University. Advisor of ICE-UCSI University, Ms. Chu May Yen
and all previous committee members were present during this event. The new
committee members were elected as it marks the end of 2014-2015 term and a fresh
beginning for the 2015-2016 term who will continue to carry the vision and mission of
ICE-UCSI University as a platform for all civil engineering students at UCSI University
to broaden and enhance their abilities, knowledge, and skills and furthermore as a
medium of expression which later will contribute towards the advancement of society
and Civil Engineering studies of the UCSI University.
This Annual General Meeting is conducted without any significant cost
involved because the event is relatively short and conducted during lecture hours. Fifty
Eight students were present at the AGM and during the event, some of the students left
earlier to attend their classes, thus list of attendees is not provided in this report.
However, the Annual General Meeting was conducted smoothly by the organising
committees without any difficulties and according to the rules set forth in the
