Introduction
Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology-Bhavnagar
Gyanmanjari institute of technology, Bhavnagar, is established in 2015. It is an
institution of higher learning dedicated to providing quality, career-focused
undergraduate program that prepares students with the knowledge, skills and
credentials needed to launch,enhance or change careers.
The institute offers broad access to education and serves a diverse, multicultural
body of students in an environment that promotes pride, respect and teamwork.the
institute’s academic activities are designed to empower students to pursue their
individual career goals.
Institutions of Engineers (India)
It is established in 1920 and granted Royal Charter in 1935. It is largest
multidisciplinary professional body of engineers in India. It has a network of 29
State and 84 Local Centers. It has four overseas chapters, namely, Abu Dhabi,
Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. Six peripheral bodies namely, Engineering Staff
College of India at Hyderabad, Rural Development Forum at Kolkata, Sustainable
Development Forum at Patna, Water Management Forum at Ahmedabad, National
Design and Research Forum at Bengaluru and Safety & Quality Forum at New
Delhi. Bilateral agreement with 33 professional institutions in 19 countries abroad.
Over 1 500 Students' chapters (as on 01/08/2016) function at various engineering
colleges/polytechnics. Chapters conduct a variety of technical activities, such as,
seminars, industrial visits, group discussions, technical quiz competitions,
workshops, model/poster competition and film shows throughout the year.

Eligible to contest in the All India Students' Committee election.
Opportunity to meet fellow engineers for professional interaction.
Reimbursement of travelling expenses to students selected for presentation
of technical papers in Technicians'/Students'Convention.
Inauguration Ceremony
GMIT-Bhavnagar has started a student chapter for Department of Mechanical and
civil engineering in association with Institution of Engineers (India).
The function was Started by welcoming the Invited Dignitaries. GMIT Bhavnagar
offered a warm welcome to all dignitaries and invitees.
Dignitaries who were present on this occasion Mr. Navin Kalaria(Hon. Secretary
IEI), Mr.Deepak Suchde(Ex-chairman IEI), Dr. Ramnath Prasad (Director CED),
Mr.M.M.Nakrani (Chairman-GMIT), Mr.V.J..Purohit (Director), Mr.Avinash Patel
(Managing Director) and Dr. H.M.Nimbark (Principle-GMIT).
Dr.H.M.Nimbark delivered a speech regarding journey of GMIT and importance of
IEI and CED.
Also the motivational speech was given by respected Mr.M.M.Nakrani.
Inauguration of Student Chapter was done by unwrapping the banner of IEI by the
invited Guests and it was received by Prof.Monik N Dodiya.
Mr.Deepak Suchde started his speech with the introduction of IEI and its activities.
He also addressed the student regarding the benefit of being a member of student
chapter.
Mementoes and love of token were given to the dignitaries as a farewell gift.
At the end of Inauguration function vote of thanks was given by the Prof. K.B.
Khiraiya (HOD Mechanical Engg.)
Expert Lecture
With the Inauguration Ceremony an expert lecture was also arranged under IEI
activity on the topic job scope in the field of mechanical engineering by Mr.
Navin Kalaria for the student of 2nd
and 4th semester Mechanical Engineering.
In this session the students were made aware regarding the job scope in public and
private sector.
He gives information about public sector, Ltd. Pvt.Ltd, Corporate, Semi
government bodies, academic, self-employment, special field etc.
At the end of session students has idea about job awareness and different sector
where they can make their fruitful career.
