Download one of the MS Word thesis templates (compressed as .zip files) from: http://www.grad.psu.ac.th/eng/thesis_manual.php Choose a template that applies to your plan of study (A1 or A2). Unzip the contents of the downloaded .zip file into a folder. Each thesis template .zip file contains 6 items. 2. Check whether the required font (Angsana New, Th Sarabun PSK, or Times New Roman) is already installed on your computer. If not, please download the required font from the link above and follow these directions to install it (in Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7, you need administrator rights to install fonts): Option 1: a) Extract the zip file into a folder on your computer b) Open the Control panel on the Start button c) Select Appearance and Personalization, and then select the Fonts folder window to appear as shown below. d) Select and copy the files extracted from the zip file, then paste them into the Fonts folder to complete the installation. Option 2: a) Extract the zip file into a folder on your computer b) Select all the font files (usually 4) and right-click on the selected files c) Select Install in the context menu as shown below. d) The new font is now ready to use with MS Word and other programs

Instruction for Using the Thesis Template Files

1. Download one of the MS Word thesis templates (compressed as .zip files) from:

http://www.grad.psu.ac.th/eng/thesis_manual.php

Choose a template that applies to your plan of study (A1 or A2).

Unzip the contents of the downloaded .zip file into a folder. Each thesis template .zip file

contains 6 items.

2. Check whether the required font (Angsana New, Th Sarabun PSK, or Times New Roman) is

already installed on your computer.

If not, please download the required font from the link above and follow these directions to

install it (in Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7, you need administrator rights to install fonts):

Option 1:

a) Extract the zip file into a folder on your computer

b) Open the Control panel on the Start button

c) Select Appearance and Personalization, and then select the Fonts folder window to

Option 2:

3. Open the six .doc files (compatible with Microsoft Word 2010 or newer)

you unzipped to a folder in step 1:

1) Cover 2) Flyleaf 3) Approval page 4) Certification

5) Acknowledgement Page 6) Curriculum Vitae

4. In each of the template files, replace the sample text in the editable text boxes

with your own data:

a) Cover: enter the thesis title, author's name, degree, field of study,

and year of graduation.

b) Flyleaf: thesis title, author's name, degree, field of study, graduation year.

c) Approval page: enter thesis title, author's name, and major program in the top section.

Major advisor, co-advisor(s) (if any), and members of the examining committees

in the middle section. If there is no co-advisor or there are less than 5

committee members, those fields can be deleted.

Enter the degree type, field of study, and the name of the dean of the

Graduate School in the lower section.

d) Certification I: Major Advisor, co-advisor(s) (if any), and author’s (candidate’s) name.

If there is no co-advisor, that field can be deleted.

e) Certification II: enter author’s name

f) Curriculum Vitae: First and last name with applicable title, student ID, Educational

attainment from any previous degrees or other academic awards, together with

details of the institution’s name and year of graduation, scholarship awards during

enrolment, Work – position and address (If applicable), list of publications and

proceedings. If there is lack of some detail, could delete a specific position in the

template.

5. Check that all the information entered is correct and properly formatted.

Margins, spacing, and position of other text elements on each page are not adjustable.

6. Save the edited thesis files.
