1.PREPARATIONBEFOREUSE

1-1Beforeoperatingthepipetty1.Wheninsertthebatteryintothepipette,pleasemakesure

thatthebatteryisfullycharged. Forinitialuse,firstchargethebatteryfully.

Battery:A4Nickelhydridebattery(Recommendedbattery:Panasonic,EVOLTABK-4HLD)

2.Thereisnopowerswitchonthebody.Afterbatteryinsertion,flashingdisplayof"S"inthedisplayistheinitialstate.

3.PowerisautomaticallyturnedOFFinthefollowingcases.・ Selectthemode(Initialstate)・ Notoperateforoneminuteduring"S"or"M"or"START”indicatingindisplay.

4.WhenyouturnONthepower,press"PUSH"buttonor"backbutton".

Itinitializesautomaticallywhenyouinsertthebattery.StateSisflashingintheinitialscreen.SwitchthemodebypressUPorDOWNKey,selectbyMODE/ENTERKey.

2-1 Ｓ (SingleDispensing)ModeThisisabasicoperationforpipetting.Aspiratingonetimeanddispensingonetime.Thisoperationisthesameasforamanualpipette.

MixingModeThisisausefuloperationwhenuniformlymixingdifferenttypesofliquids.Inthismethod,aspiratinganddispensingarerepeated.Thistypeofrepetitiveoperationoftenresultsinfatigue,butwiththispipetteitisautomaticallycarriedoutwiththetouchofoneswitch.

2-2 Ｍ (MultipleDispensing)ModeThisisasuitablefunctiontodispensethesameliquidcontinuously,suchaswhendispensingaliquidonamicroplate,etc.Theoperationconsistsofaspiratingonetimeanddispensingseveraltimes.

1. PresstheUPorDOWNKeytosetdispensingamountforonetime.PressMODE/ENTERKeytoselect.

2. PresstheUPorDOWNKeytosetdispensingcount.3. Settingcomplete whenSTARTisindicatedindisplay.4. Afterdispensing,pressPUSHKey(BACKKey)twiceto

dispensetheremainingliquid.(IntheMultimode,reverseoperationoccursautomatically.)

“pipetty”provideuserwithadispensingvolumecalibrationfunction.Usingthisfunction,itiseasytocorrecterrorsduetodifferencesintipsused,etc.Tocalibratethedispensingvolume,completethefollowingprocedure:

※Whenusedinalong-termcontinuouslyat"Lo"speed,pleasenotethatthereisacasebodyfeelhot.

2-5 ＥＣ (Electrophoresis)Functionpipetty willprovideavaliddispensingfunctionforelectrophoresis.Oneofthefeaturesofpipetty,releasetheKeyandtheoperationwillstart.ItcandispensesmoothlybyreleasingtheKeyintargetsitewithoutshakingtipofchip.

3.TROUBLESHOOTINGDue to repeatedly aspirating and dispensing various liquids the micropipette easily succumbs to damage and contamination. In the event of device failure consult the following table. Request repair if that still doesn’t solve the problem.

DANGERThisinstrumentisnotanexplosionproofinstrument.Donotusethepipetteinanenvironmentwherethereisariskofexplosion,oruseitforexplosivechemicalsthatmaycauseexplosion.

CAUTIONDonotattempttodisassembleorrepairthepipettebyyourself.TROUBLESHOOTING”whenitappearsthatthepipettehasamechanicalerror.

willbecauseoftheleak,overheat,ruptureorignite.Andalsoperformancewilldegrade.

3.Whenstoring,pleaseavoidthelocationofthedustyorhighhumidplace.Itwillbethecauseofthefailure.

4.Byrepeatingthechargeanddischarge,thecontinuousnumberofoperationswillbereduced. Ifnecessary,replacetonewbattery.
