Instructions for e-TDS file preparation

Following are the steps involved in preparation of e-TDS Files i.e. 24Q and 26Q. 1. Please visit the e - B i l l i n g site at http://esalaryhry.nic.in and login with your userid & maker password, click on m e n u option Download e-TDS File.

2. 24Q TDS File Screen will appear after clicked option download e-TDS File.

3. Choose financial year, Quarter, Enter DDO PAN, PIN code, Bin No, Bin Date & DDO Serial No. Month wise and then click Update . Note: In case you have not received your Bin No., Bin date & DDO Serial no, Please Go To http://esalaryhry.nic.in home page and click Know Your Bin option/link. It will take you to the NSDL website where you can get these details using your TIN no.

4. Now after entering these details, click on Generate 24Q (Salary TDS) and save the 24Q in Text format on your computer. For Excel Format, click on generate Excel (24Q). 5. First download the JAVA JRE and install in your system and restart the system.

It can be downloaded from http://esalaryhry.nic.in/ebilling/generate24QFile.aspx and click Download JAVA JRE link it will be redirect to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html and download JAVA JRE and install on your computer and restart the system. 6. Install File Validation Utility software provided by NSDL. It can be downloaded from http://esalaryhry.nic.in/Documents/FVU4.7.rar home page and click Download FVU utility. Unzip it and install on your computer.

7. Now run the file TDS_STANDALONE_FVU_4.7.jar and Validate your 24Q Text Format File using FVU 4.7(i.e. TDS_STANDALONE_FVU_4.7.jar) utility by selecting the text file and providing the Error/Upload File Path.

8. Click Validate, after successful validation of 24Q text file. Following screen will show:

9. Go to file location of your computer system or given in above screen, where three files will be generated:

• Form 27A file • 24Q.fvu file • 24Q.html file These files can be checked and uploaded through NSDL facilitation centre after digitally signing.
