Chapter 1
Creating a Competitive Team
In order to play in the PPIL, you must be a competitive team. The process to
become a competitive team is laid out below.
1. You must complete a Team Club Fact Sheet and submit it to North
Texas Soccer before you can register as a competitive team. This is
done online (https://www.gotsport.com/forms/open/?FormID=2498 ). This
must be completed and you must receive a confirmation back from
North Texas BEFORE you conduct your tryouts. Every player/parent
that attends your team tryouts must receive a copy of this paperwork
for your team.
2. You must print out and have available at your tryouts the Team Club
Fact Sheet Parent/Player Signature Page. A copy can be found at
this link: http://www.ntxsoccer.org/youth_forms/. Every parent and
player that attends your tryouts must sign this. It is a confirmation that
they have received a copy of your Team Club Fact Sheet.
3. Once you have decided on your players, every player must have a
complete and signed Competitive Player Registration Form which
can be found at this link: http://www.ntxsoccer.org/youth_forms/.
Please be certain that the parent has signed the form and that it is
completed legibly.
4. Each player should also have a completed Medical Release form
(does not need to be notarized) that they will keep with them at every
game. A copy of this form can be found here:
http://www.ntxsoccer.org/youth_forms/ .
5. Finally, every rostered adult will need to complete a background
check to be able to be placed on the roster. Club teams will need to
contact their club administrator. Independent teams will need to
contact the Home Association they choose in order to get a Got
Soccer profile created. If you have one, but cannot remember your
credentials, please click on this link for coach lookup:
https://www.gotsport.com/asp/coaches/passwordlookup.asp and this
link for manager lookup:

1. If PYSA was your home association last year, and

iv. Birth certificate- Born OUTSIDE of the United States
1. Per FIFA's Regulations on the Status and Transfer
of Players, the international clearance process is
required when any foreign-born player over the
age of 10 is attempting to register with an affiliated
club in the United States, regardless of that player's
ability or citizenship. U.S. Soccer is responsible
for properly obtaining that clearance on behalf of
these players before they can register and
participate in an affiliated league.
2. If a player on your team has already done this, then
there will be a lock next to their name in Got
Soccer. If there is not a lock, then you will
need to contact North Texas as they have a record
of all those players that have completed the
International Clearance Process to date.
3. The chart below explains which process should be
used, depending upon the player's age:
4. All international Clearance paperwork needs to be
emailed to, [email protected].
