INSTRUCTION for Copy and Paste (Word 2007 plus)
Read and Practice these instructions as you go.
Step 1: Highlighting the text.
Step 1: Using your mouse, move the cursor (the flashing line) to the start of this sentence
and depress the left button of the mouse.

Step 2: Depress the left button on your mouse where the cursor is at the beginning of Step 1; AND hold the button down WHILE moving the mouse in a horizontal line over the text of the first sentence. Moving down vertically while holding down the left button will extend the highlighting to more text.
The text will show as highlighted, as shown in the example below.

Method 2
1. Use mouse to move cursor to start of this sentence and depress left button.2. Depress the “Shift” key on the keyboard and hold down.3. Depress “right” arrow key on the keyboard to highlight the text.
Method 3
1. Use mouse to move cursor to end of this sentence and depress left button.2. Depress the "Shift" key on the keyboard and hold down.3. Depress the "left" arrow key on the keyboard to highlight the text.

Step 2: Copy the highlighted text.
Step 1: Highlight this sentence as instructed in the previous step.
Step 2: Once highlighted, move your mouse arrow to “Clipboard” section of the toolbar above and place your mouse arrow over the symbol for “Copy” which looks like 2 pieces of paper. Depress your left button.
This selection has now been copied and is located in your “Clipboard”

Step 3: Select new location for the text
Step 1: Move your mouse to the location where you want the text to be copied
Step 2: Click on the left button on to bring up your cursor (that little blinking line) to this location.
Step 4: Paste
Step 1: Move your mouse arrow to “Clipboard” section of the toolbar above and place your mouse arrow over the symbol for “Paste”. Depress your left button.

Highlight it. This can be simply done by dragging your cursor over what you want to copy and paste.

3Press the ⌘ Command key. It has the Apple logo on old Macs and the looped square logo on new
Macs located on the keyboard. It is below the X key.

and your mouse click. The right click will bring up the Options menu.
