    1. Boilers use

Wood is the main fuel for the Eko-Vimar Orlaski boilers. Lignite or minced coil could be an alter-nativefuel.

    Woodat15-20%humidityandlengthatabout5cmsmallerthantheloadingchambershouldbeusedasthemainfuel(billetsdiameter-15-25cm-checktechnicaldata).

    Somealternativefuelisacceptable:

    -ligniteas10-15cmdiameterblocks

    -woodatdifferentqualityparameters(humidity)andmincerange(shavings,furniturewaste

    andsoon)isacceptableasthemixforthemainfuel(50%/50%).

    NOTICE!

Using different than ordinary fuel doesnt guarantee boilers right operating - as it

was featured in technical data and it can inuence the boilers way of working and its

    long-lasting.

    NOTICE!

Using different type of fuel that the main one (including alternative one) is treated as

wrong boilers using and its effects can not be the reason for any complaint to the

    producer.

    NOTICE!

Wood boiler should be installed in open system together with an expansion tank (it

assures boilers working with nominal pressure - look technical data).

NOTICE!Wood boiler is equipped with a regulator which assures its working in right tempera-

tures range and protects the boiler against its overheating by fans turning on.

    2. Procedure ruleWood gasication boilers work in pirolitic wood distillation process. When the air is limitedwoodchangesintocharcoalwhileburningup.Inthesametimewoodgasappears, whichnext

    6.2. Wood and gasication

It is important that wood gasication boilers worked in specic conditions. Boilers temperatureaccounts for 70 - 80C. At lower temperatures gasication process doesnt proceed in a correctwayandwhatfollows-woodintakeisrelativelyhigher.Wooddryinginaloadingchamberisan

essential stage in gasication process - wood doesnt have adequate temperature at lower tem-peratures and all of the process is inadequate. Main warmth source in Orlan boilers is gas amearising during gasication , if main conditions according correct burning process arent taken, then both quality and quantity of released gas wont be sufcient.

Very important are: quality, humidity and kind of burned wood. Hard wood is the best - (beech,oak,hornbeametc.)at25upto15%humidity.Usingdifferentkindofwood,suchaspine,spruce

etc.ispossiblebuttherewillbemoreburningwasteatthesidesanditwillbenecessarytoloadthe chamber more often. Hygrometer is for humidity measuring - it helps to select wood at bestquality(thereisaguidelinediagramofwoodshumidityonthenextpage).

    WARNING!

It is forbidden to switch on the fan when the upper door is opened.

    IMPORTANT!

It is important to pay an attention on both depth of gasication chamber and thick-

ness of the upper door while chambers loading. If woods sizes arent adequate to the

elements mentioned above it may be difcult to close boilers door or load the cham-

ber with wood. You must not close the door by force - it may cause doors damage.

    IMPORTANT!

Wood storing for about a year ensures its right humidity (admissable humidity - 25%- look at TECHNICAL DATA section). Advisable humidity level (15%) is to be obtained

after 2 years wood storing (look at the diagram no 5).
